This is an absolutely gorgeous piece, and Bish knows how to get the most out of the organ without blowing off the barn doors (as she sometimes does with Bach and Widor).
Here you have two (TWO) machines capable of roof-shaking sounds playing as if there was a string section and a choir singing. Brilliant voicing and a mesmerizing composition. The sort of piece that is way too short.
When was this concert (year)? Bihonning, I am sorry that you feel the way you do. The music is peaceful and speaks to the end of our time on this earth, O God that it may be peaceful. I hope God blesses you in some way. Sorry that you hat Americans...I don't think we are all bad you know.
This is about the most hideous sound one has ever suffered. The Americans believe this has anything to do with an organ. D. Bish's primitive lack of taste is so typical American, -deeply sentimental and with absolutely no understanding og what music is. A terrible soup of cheap and shallow effects is all she can think of. - - -Utterly DISGUSTING !!
@bihonning If it were possible to correct your grammar and sentence structure (not to mention your spelling) with a red pen online, I should, given I had the time or interest. Since I have neither, I will suggest that you have no apparent reason to be a snob—one of the musical variety or otherwise. It is clear, however, that you are a bore.
@bihonning That's what's great about America, we kicked out all the snobs that ruined the old world long ago. and you bring up "deepy sentimental" are you an emotions Nazi?
@bihonning - Funny, Diane Bish is one of the most soft after organists in the world, and has over 250 individual shows and growing on her OWN world wide accalamed TV show that has recieved every, or almost every possable music award from all around the world. She has played world renowen organs that no woman has ever been let played, yet she was allowed, and more then once mind you. Not to mantion all her own printed impervisions on countless pieces of music, Should I go on bihonning?
Amazing combination of instruments. I go with Diane's choice of a Rodgers; they are the only electronics I've ever encountered that come reasonably close to replicating a real organ. Rodgers puts enough "horsepower" into their installations to almost make it real.
I'd like to know more, please, about Ms. Bish's selection of tone cabinets, their components and their placement.
@moproducer , I have a Rodgers in my living room with a midi. My windows rattle when I do the full organ. I love it and am looking at another. My room looks like a bowling alley.
