Twenty-first century bigots and hypocrits decry Homosexuality, yet, refuse to acknowledge the Bible's condemnation of Divorce and the penalty for same which far outnumber the citations against Homosexuality. Why? Because their ministers and priests would lose their congregations since more than 50% of marraiges end in Divorce. Condemning Homosexuality fills their coffers.

I find it absolutely hypocritical of the Mormon Church to discuss anything bordering on Love and mankind's getting along when their own "Prophets" disavow Gay people when Christ Jesus himself never mentioned the aspect of Homosexuality, but, gave only one commandment...."that ye shall love one another....he also said "that which you do to the least among you, you do also to me." I think it all goes down to principle... If you support the Constitution, then freedom for all can be achieved. I am a Mormon, and regardless of whether or not I believe something is moral, it is not up to me to decide what freedoms others can experience. Stand by the Constitution, and the rest will take care of itself.

The idea that Jill and Jane want to come to my kids' school and interview kids to discover whether or not they have feelings towards the opposite sex has been one good recruitment tool to their deal. A few years ago I voted for the new, post-communist Polish constitution. I had read it before. It is pretty much paraphrased US Constitution (with lots of unnecessary stuff added). What your Founding Fathers wrote truly "belongs to all mankind"(D&C 98:5).

Hate the sin, not the sinner. Groups that believe in the bible cannot condone gay marriage. Catholics, mormons, baptist, non denominational church have a right to voice there opposition of gay marriage if the doctrine they hold to be true (bible) would have them. Personally, I don't think the state should have anything to do with marriage. I don't think their should be special privileges to the married, and if a church wishes to marry gays, then that is their business.

Please, everyones the same. You may hate what a person does, does not mean you hate the person. Example, I can't stand smoking or being near those who smoke, but I still have close friends who smoke. Also, just because a person disagrees with the homosexual lifestyle does not make them homophobic, though some are. Some people just have a problem accepting things that aren't natural. Nature is about survival and perpetuation of the species, and from last I checked, there is no perpetuation of the species in gay sex, thus making it unnatural... That is unless however nature finds that there is something wrong with the genetics of a man/woman, therefore making them gay so as to take their genes out of the gene pool. If they choose not to, still fine, their choice. There is a legal maxim that states that something similiar isnt exactly the same. If Gay union is to be accepted it should be defined correctly and the we can discuss and challenge the legitimacy of it. But you can not freely change definitions to fit any individuals meaning of the word.
