I see the intention n this video, & by the comments posted. The song's doin its job n tryin to make fun of a lifestyle (though it went a littte far w/ deoderant & brushin teeth) & in gettin the word out to do somethin w/ your life. I disagree w/ the use of "nigga" & the video seeming mainly focused on blacks, rather than misguided youth; cause u all know if someone were to sing this song, someone could be offended. Just being honest, I did laugh hearing this song but some parts are 2 strong.
Good intentions are only a small step from total crap. I can see why you'd make a rap song parodying the genre and it's basis on ignorance and superficiality, but this is kind of sad.
the sad thing is as a black student i know personally since the year 2003 there have been more black me from the age of 18 to 31 in college over jail but fucking abc and fox five tell to think other wise be smart turn the damn tv off and read a book
if any one knows who owns B.E.T. its a jew. this is some damn propaganda i tell you. you have a jew telling niggas to read a muthafuckkking book. this is truly sad shit here
Jews wanting the people in question to be more informed and educated, to focus on parenting, be healthier, to spend money on land/real estate instead of bling and rims, to be more hygienic. Oh yea they're really spouting propaganda to hold the African-American down.
most of you aren't getting the point. the point of this video..is to knock the stupid rappers who rap about shit that makes no sense at all. this video..is just trying to prove a point. this is stuff that matters. versus...yo pimp cup...what h0e u got..what rims u got..what nigga you shot.
Well, yeah, it's making fun of rappers by parodying them. But it's using that parody to convey an actual message. That message is arguably that the people who emulate said rappers are dumbasses and smell like ass.
So if you're classifying this as "just" mockery, then you as well don't know the difference.
Actually people who are secure don't feel threatened by the messages. The writers/composers/artists/directors are "ALL" black, one would assume that they would know or have an idea on what the troubles that plagues their community.
I would hope so. I'm just a simple WASP country boy, so I'm sure I don't know what plagues said "community". But I see a lot of people that appear as if they could learn something from this video. I'm not going to generalize this to ALL black people, but there are a few who you have to wonder if they honestly believe people take them seriously.
IN fact they are. Everyone involved in the making or airing this video was in fact African American. Even if they were not, this was posted ON B.E.T as a Public Service Announcement.
No there isn't. The simple, polite, liberal messages are ignored. No one takes it seriously anymore. This isn't the 80's or 90's. If you dont' slap someone in the face, they're going to kick you in the nuts. People NEED that blatant in your face message, or else they'll just keep walking by. So you are wrong.
If you like the message then support it. If you're offended by it then read a book, raise yo' got damn kids, drink water, buy some land; fuck spinnin' rims, brush you got damned teeth, and wear deodorant nigga! And then there wouldn't be a need for us in the black community to feel insulted by this b/c it wouldn't be true anymore.
While were talking about books here's a few you should read Invisible Man, Iliad, Ulysses, No Excuses, Profiles in Courage, The Quickie, and The Book of Five Rings. message for authors

Kudos to you! Mind you alot of white people can use this advice as well :D
Did you know that during the civil rights movement, the African american wedlock rate was in the low %30 end, and now it's in the high %60.
Seeing a mother in a car with 3 small kids blaring rap, I'm not suprised.
