I don't do parkour, but I think I know why this went wrong.

Her hands are pointed straight ahead, lateral to the ground, when she's flying towards the wall. She comes up short and jams her fingertips against the wall, and her fingertips could not absorb enough impact to change her position midair.

If she had kept her hands at a sleight diagonal instead, even if she missed her palms would be forced to press against the wall, which would have prevented the collision.

Is that right?

In the video her hands are perpendicular to the wall, so when she misses the ledge her fingers hit the wall and jam.  Notice how they cup and slip downward on impact.

But if she kept her hands at a sleight upward angle, when she missed the ledge her fingers would have flexed backward on impact. That would have allowed her to press against the wall somewhat.

Not only is it a fail jump but a failed reaction to try to slow the fall by using her hands. Play some sports or video games, your reaction time and hand eye coordination is terrible.
