  • In deed old time was rely good times, true times and hardworking times, good and musically songs educative song well composed with qualified music professional such as Daudi Kabaka,Ffadhili william, Fundi Konde, Band such as super/simba/les wanyka and Maroon Comandos and many others, wow! i can imagine, but all in all changes will always come, life has to go on.

  • I do play it and I cry as I see all things I left in kenya running through my mind e.g the river ,collecting firewood, the boarding school, the wild animals, farming with the jembe,the matatu,the market day, chewing sugarcane, music festival ,grandmom story time the true happiness in the rural village no loneliness I WAS FOOLISH I LEFT PARADISE SUHBOAL

  • This was tremendously composed....It reminds of my late dad with a wooden made radio and can only be touched by him, I was 5yrs by then and now am 25 yrs old and still listen to them.....I'll miss those days. Where are the music nowadays?? R.I.P dady

  • We have jst eaten our hastily-cooked lunch n running back 2 school. we are probably chewing sugarcane or sukari nguru or ice cream. The 1pm news has jst ended on KBC n Charles Omuga Kabisai or Anunda Sakwa is on air with Muziki wa adhuhuri. Waaaa, th radio is gonna b switched off 2 conserve th battery 4 evening's matangazo ya vifo. I'm asking my big bro 2 let us hear only David Amunga's voice in this song then he can switch it off. Ooooooh lovely inocent days.

  • @deporteeeee, the song came out in 1965 or 1966. From the abeingo website, the story goes is that it was based on a letter he received from a friend who was one of Mboya / Kennedy "airliftees" who wrote him a letter complaing how the US was a lonely place.

  • It is SAD to note that those white bastards refused to help Amunga record this song saying that his English was not good enough and that he could not sell a copy if he ever recorded it - they wanted to steal his music. He contacted the late Tom Mboya and generous Mboya helped him record this wonderful hit. They smile in your face but they don't like you. Thumbs up if you love our music. MY HOME OF AFRICA.

  • @oduoljayne ..The Song Original title is America To Africa...The singer is one..DAVID AMUNGA who was very popular troubadour in the Kenya of the 60's and the 70's.Amungas other notable hits include SOMENI VIJANA and JANE IS PRETTY.
