Hood markings wrong? No Way! US ARMY change early 1957? yes,you are very correct. When Jeep purchased from US Govt in late 60s it was marked on hood with same marking as it carries today. Jeep was taken apart blasted repainted and re marked it as it was when it left service except for the large 'CP' the MIL had spray painted on it when sold. Incorrect... maybe if your a judge, but it carried these marking when last in service...good enough for me.
@NIGHTRIDER995 G503, willystech, ewillys just add dotcom with each. are three sites to find early jeeps at as well as craiglist. many for sale out there in all price ranges. Best of luck.
Thanks to all who have taken the time for your kind words. Mean alot. I did pick up a M-100 trailer to pull behind the jeep. Kinda fell into trailer & real happy to have found it. Had to replace rear panel & it still needs paint. Can't wait to get both out soon.
A true work of art. My dad drove these at the time of the Korean war. all you need is the trailer.Thank you for keeping them alive. This is a happy jeep.
now that is just sweet! love it!

The marking on the hood is incorrect. It should read U.S.A. They didn't start marking U.S. ARMY until 1957.
