Me singing "Here I Am Lord" hymn

A couple of weeks before I went to Uganda in March 2007, my aunt who has since passed, sent me a note with this song included. She hadn't understood why I was willing to take such a trip. In her note she said that when they sang this song at church one Sunday, it was a message to her how I must feel. I cried as I read her note and all the words to the song. It is exactly how I feel. I didn't know the melody until today. Thank you for sharing it.

First off, your voice is beautiful! A couple tips on having more breath and therefore not running out of air, since that's what you requested. 1. when you inhale expand your ribcage outward instead of upward, this keeps you from having to continually raise your shoulders, which takes air and time. 2. pressurize the air in your lungs by tightening up your abs a little bit. This will allow you to use your air much more effectively. God bless!

Thanks so much for your nice words and very helpful advice!! I have been working on not moving my shoulders up, but I haven't been thinking about moving my ribcage out. I think that will help enormously. And I'll work on the abs too. Again, thanks for the advice.
