Paradigms are nice, I have a pair of the original atoms I scored at a thrift store for $8. Using them in my workshop, in my living rm I'm rocking a pair of Infinity Prelude PFR. (4 midbass, 2 mid, tweeter, amp'd 12 in each aluminum tower. $150 at Goodwill, needed refoam)
If there's room to criticize (besides placement) it's the FR he's surely lacking on the bottom end. You don't need to get your neighbor's walls buzzing with hip hop but there's no replacement for the extension of a good sub.
Very nice upgrade! Don't let anyone tell you that you can't pair a mid-range type receiver with higher end speakers. Of course you can, and did. Try pulling the speakers away from the wall, atleast a foot from behind, they separate them 4-5 ft apart and atleast a foot from the side wall... Ull get 100 times better imaging and sound stage. Ur wasting GREAT speakers by ur set up, they need room to breathe
@northsideplayer31 Are you sure? Paradigm Mini Monitor's are only around $300-400, when LSi9's are usually $1000. Admittedly the Paradigm Mini's won't fill a concert hall, but their build and sound quality is outstanding. I can't say the same for the Chinese made Polk's.
@gizmofsu i dont care how much they cost,those speakers are crap , buy good speakers people & under 500usd for floorstanders (for High End ),as for the receiver,nice just needs some tweaking of course
@xSlavic They are not crap. Have you heard them? I've heard them and they are not crap. They sound amazing. I'd take these over any floorstanding speakers worth 500usd. Floorstanding speaker for 500 usd won't come near these paradigm studio 10s. dumbass
@xSlavic I'd consider denon and yamaha in the same class (along with pioneer, onkyo, etc). These aren't bad at all. These may also pair will with high end speakers such as the ones shown in this video. NAD, Marantz, Anthem, Rotel are the next class, which would pair very well with these paradigm speakers. However, I would not consider denon/paradigm combo as crap. I'd may be consider a panasonic, samsung or some sony receivers at best buy as crap, but never the speakers.
