mw2 was the best in my opinion, if it wasnt for the damn hackers or glitches. It would have been the an incredible game. A patch could have fixed all that too...
I still play a lot of CoD4 online--great game. Last night I checked out MW2 online for the first time--and there is no server list. Is there a patch for this, or am I missing something here? I liked the maps, graphics, etc. but with no server list I will find something else--like B3. BTW, what about MW3--I believe it has a dedicated server list but waant to be sure before buying it--is that correct?
wow call of duty , any of the call of duty in any of the consoles it looks so innacurate, reaction times are so effing slow, like they encounter and they took like 5 seconds to kill each other.
CoD is a PC game, reaction times are much faster, aiming is much more accurate. a lot more hardcore and competitive than consoles.

This is probably one of the best pc games of all time. PC could do hundreds of things that were not possible on console.. Who gives a shit about prestige. And there is NO FUCKING LOBBIES IN COD4 PC. It's called a SERVER and that makes cod4 superior over all later call of dutys.

is it just me, or do you see more of the stock of the gun on pc. I have the pc and xbox versions and i want to see more of the gun, but it looks like console on my pc....any suggestions?
@TheMinersSon PC has adjustable field of view. When you increase the FOV, the camera backs out a little bit and allows you to have a slightly wider vision. A low FOV can cause motion sickness to some people. It's not a big issue for console players since most of them are fairly far from the monitor or tv.
@Drumr215 yeah unranked and still you play with someones shity connection. Also players can't modify their server enough. Like ban different perks and attachments. At least this is my understanding.

@LFCTraynor the game takes about 5 seconds to load, and you have to install once, setup controls once. thats a lame argument you got there. you never had to fiddle around with settings on your console? connecting to router, changing screen settings all the time, making sure you got 1080p setup when the games arnt even 1080p. consoles-no hassle, no mods, no extra features, brainless aim assist ridden game for dumb people who cant figure out how to set stuff up ONCE

I wish activision wouldn't neglect PC platform so much. Now they don't even mention PC in the interviews, they just don't give a fuck. MW3 for instance. OK PC doesn't bring as much profit as consoles do, but why the fuck make it a worse game to play for that? FPS lock? No adjustable FOV? And dedicated servers that for them is like a FEATURE. Those things don't suppose to be features, they were in PC gaming for more than 10 years...
I know that you can prestige in the xbox version of the game but what about pc? I haven´t seen anyone who prestiged seems like everyone are at level 55

@LFCTraynor WTF a 32GB SSD costs $40. U don't need like a large/expensive SSD, u just use it for things u want quick access to and u still will use regular HDD for everything else. (tigerdirect) has $40 SSD.
@LFCTraynor I'm at Windows in 14 seconds, and can load almost any other game I have in another 4. I own both consoles and have compared the loading times.

Yes I'm sure, patches are automatically installed for me as well, and my download speeds are much faster on the PC (better servers/mirrors instead of going through XBL/PSN).
@LFCTraynor You have to wait to load the console + game too. I boot + load games faster than either console, as they have to load from slow hard drives/DVDs while I load from an SSD.
Most games on the consoles require an install and/or a patch as well, and I can download patches much faster.
I don't set anything up, I plug it in and it automatically does everything for me. And yeah, I have to configure old games. At least I can play them without backwards compatibility issues.
@LFCTraynor So can I, like I said I have yet to find a single game other than RTS that doesn't natively support a controller. I plug it in and it works, and more often than not, even the button icons change (see my Grid gameplay videos).

@LFCTraynor A friend of mine has small hands and can't use the Xbox controller very well, how is that balanced for him? Being able to use whatever you're more comfortable with is more balanced than making everyone use the same controller.

I know people that could play at 30FPS with some 10 year old mouse adn keyboard and kick my ass on my rig at 60FPS with a $120 keyboard and "gaming" mouse. It comes down to preference and skill, not making everyone use the same controller that not everyone likes.

Here's my story: forever been a Playstation gamer (PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3). Got myself a 60GB and it broke coincidentally after the warranty ran out ("Yellow Light of Death"). Always had a decent PC. Decided to by a budget gaming tower, being a casual play of the Total War series it helped.
I still can't comprehend how much better the PC versions are as to the console. The graphics, gameplay and experience in general seem so much more enhanced. Low graphics; beautiful still!

I'm currently borrowing my brothers PC which has a graphics card which was top stuff a few years ago and a good bit of RAM and wow... Games like BF3 (Beta) look beautiful even with the graphic specs turned down!
I hope to get my own someday because it's totally worth it; computers don't have a shelf life when it comes to gaming so one can upgrade at ones pleasure! ;)
@LFCTraynor I don't hate Consoles, I myself have a Xbox 360 and a gaming PC, I enjoy both just of course the PC more. Consoles are of course more popular because they are more mainstream and people don't want to deal with tech. Price is not a issue unless you go out and let yourself get ripped off. Like I said before, Consoles are good for those youngsters and those people who don't want to deal with tech.
@LFCTraynor Only difference is that our "Party mode" is free - Skype. Skype has been brought by Microsoft and yet it's a free of charge service where as Microsoft gets you to pay for 'Party Mode' on the Xbox 360.. lol. PC version of twitter/facebook/msn can not be compared to the Xbox 360 version, it's inferior.. so again your settling for second best. If you want to play with your friends on Xbox, you HAVE to pay. You don't have to play monthly subscription games which I don't.

Once upon a time... CoD games were for those skilled gamers who wanted a hardcore heavy atmosphere and balanced gameplay. Now; they're unbalanced, make-up-for-the-skill-you-lack-perks integrated pissing contests for kids. I really miss the old CoDs when they were primarily PC games with semi-realistic militaristic themes. See what happens when you shift your priorities to consoles? @LFCTraynor I'm at Windows in 14 seconds, and can load almost any other game I have in another 4. I own both consoles and have compared the loading times.
And you're right, not everyone can. Good thing PC hard drives are faster anyways.
Yes I'm sure, patches are automatically installed for me as well, and my download speeds are much faster on the PC (better servers/mirrors instead of going through XBL/PSN).

@LFCTraynor You have to wait to load the console + game too. I boot + load games faster than either console, as they have to load from slow hard drives/DVDs while I load from an SSD.
Most games on the consoles require an install and/or a patch as well, and I can download patches much faster.
I don't set anything up, I plug it in and it automatically does everything for me. And yeah, I have to configure old games. At least I can play them without backwards compatibility issues.

@LFCTraynor So can I, like I said I have yet to find a single game other than RTS that doesn't natively support a controller. I plug it in and it works, and more often than not, even the button icons change (see my Grid gameplay videos).

I know people that could play at 30FPS with some 10 year old mouse adn keyboard and kick my ass on my rig at 60FPS with a $120 keyboard and "gaming" mouse. It comes down to preference and skill, not making everyone use the same controller that not everyone likes.

Here's my story: forever been a Playstation gamer (PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3). Got myself a 60GB and it broke coincidentally after the warranty ran out ("Yellow Light of Death"). Always had a decent PC. Decided to by a budget gaming tower, being a casual play of the Total War series it helped.
I still can't comprehend how much better the PC versions are as to the console. The graphics, gameplay and experience in general seem so much more enhanced. Low graphics; beautiful still!

@1234Punkdrummer Completely mate; if you have a PC with good/high specs then gaming is a right treat! I'm currently borrowing my brothers PC which has a graphics card which was top stuff a few years ago and a good bit of RAM and wow... Games like BF3 (Beta) look beautiful even with the graphic specs turned down!
I hope to get my own someday because it's totally worth it; computers don't have a shelf life when it comes to gaming so one can upgrade at ones pleasure! ;)

Consoles are of course more popular because they are more mainstream and people don't want to deal with tech. Price is not a issue unless you go out and let yourself get ripped off. Like I said before, Consoles are good for those youngsters and those people who don't want to deal with tech.

@LFCTraynor Only difference is that our "Party mode" is free - Skype. Skype has been brought by Microsoft and yet it's a free of charge service where as Microsoft gets you to pay for 'Party Mode' on the Xbox 360.. lol. PC version of twitter/facebook/msn can not be compared to the Xbox 360 version, it's inferior.. so again your settling for second best. If you want to play with your friends on Xbox, you HAVE to pay. You don't have to play monthly subscription games which I don't.

And yeah, you don't have the opportunity to upgrade with consoles. You have to buy whole new ones, buy new accessories, worry about compatability with old games, new networks/online communities, etc.

You probably have some sort of personal computer at home which is priced at £300 and more for a decent PC, now add the money from a Console up and you will most likely have spent more money. PC is social, with a PC you can go on facebook, email people, skype, msn messenger, etc

@LFCTraynor and if its not a netbook these days most games that will run on your xbox360 or even your ps3 will run on a relatively bottom of the line laptop with no need for upgrade, even if the laptop is a couple years old. pc games scale down just like they scale up. now i will admit on laptops you might be running at lower settings, but it will still work. and most people who game have at least a laptop, if not a desktop. there is no advantage in a console, that advantage was left behind.

@LFCTraynor 1) if you do have a desktop computer of some sort, i doubt that it is any older than 5 years, and would still be compatible with a 90 dollar video card 2) most games, and almost all popular cross-platform games put on pc in the last 5+ years are natively compatible with the xbox360 gamepad (wired, or wireless with a little adaptor) 3) if you don't want mods, you don't get mods. oh and another thing, those games that use gamepad also allow keyboard and mouse. @LFCTraynor pretty cheap pc can run the game at higher than xbox settings, a 3 year old midgrade unit at the time the game came out could run it at the same settings as the xbox. and you could use an xbox 360 controller to play it same as on the xbox. but you also had the further option of fan created mods. the idea that you have to have a top of the line pc to run games is just foolish, add a 90 dollar video card to pretty much any pc on the market and it'll do better than an xbox.
