  • the Lord of UK !!!!

  • I'm just getting into blues music...is this guy highly acclaimed?? Can someone recommend a good blues album he's done?

  • @clearviewmind Seasick steve is just great - more acclaimed for his quirkiness than anything else but a better live act you couldn't wish for - extremely entertaining. He had Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones playing the festivals wih him this year - now thats high enough acclaim for me. If you like the blues check out smokin Joe Bonamassa

  • @1965alfie Thank you very much indeed. That was a big help. I've never heard of any of those you just mentioned, so will be checking them ALL out. Brill. thanx again.

  • Duck tape instrument win.

  • he is a wonderful blues interpreter,he reminds of that wonderful australian didley bo player doctor darren 'ray' redden of the infamous band the cereal killers. i once heard ray play note perfect the album queen's 'a night at the opera' usuing only didley bo played with his teeth, an out standing performance considering at the time the entire band had been on an ibogain bender for four and a half weeks. SELF RAISING FLOWERS

  • this Tramp has made his stamp listened to new tricks album so many times it just gets better

  • His man is a brilliant nut case. Amazing what he can do with that diddley bo

  • wow ..wow! this knocked me flat, the pure emotion in the sound, and the release of exclamtion at the end..wow. awesome, really really awesome. In my books he is a legend already.

  • este viejo la rompe.

  • Saw Stevo at Leeds this weekend he was absolutely amazing.

  • @MrZnood STE-VO STE-VO STE-VO

  • Mississippi drum machine <3

  • i saw this guy on lowlands yesterday ! one of the best performances of the festival

  • Hell Yeah i'm gonna see this guy this weekend :P

  • Mainstream culture would say after 2:47 is bad, but we fellow fans, we can see his true genius and creativity right here.

  • oh my god what an assholee!!!! why the people go to see this guy????

its a fucking clown!!!! this estupid dont have money for buy a les paul???

  • @Juansete777 I hope you're joking.

  • @Juansete777 you sound a bit butt hurt, and a bit stupid.

  • @Juansete777 even if he couldn't afford a les paul it still doesn't change the fact that he's got talent and btw your grammar and spelling are bad lol

  • @Juansete777 A vintage Les Paul might be a GREAT guitar for rocking out on but it is by no means the ONLY guitar for rocking out on... I mean theres Fender telecasters and anything by gibson will work great;) And ofcourse all the custom assembled stuff (cross reference Arm the homeless and a few others)

  • @JWbrasser sorry mate i hate tele's, always have. cant stand em. i would play any guitar in the world before i played on a tele

  • @Juansete777 first if you're going to insult someone do it with correct grammar dumbass. Secondly i don't have money for a Les Paul does that make me a clown? Seasick Steve is a visionary he is playing with one string... What can you do with one string? Plus that one string has gotten him a whole hell of a lot farther than your whiny ass comments here. Where's your record deal good sir? Oh right you don't have one because your too busy watching your gradmas porn tapes. Good day to you sir.

  • @bkizzleish Firstly, if you are going to insult a person's grammar you would do well to insure yours is on par, dumbass. Secondly, well nothing really i think i made my point.

  • @baangazed Capital I's ;)

  • @SebJS74 lololololol that dude sent me personal messages as well.

  • @Juansete777 You're the asshole! I can tell you're an ignorant spaniard. Seasick Steve has the money to buy a Les Paul guitar but chooses not too. Why? Because he has the ability to fix or deconstruct instruments that haven't been cared for by other people. Why should he follow the crowd like everyone else? He has been performing for more than 20 years and I doubt he has changed his style in that time. Now that he has found acclaim, why would he change?

  • @Ephiros12 It's his Diddley bo!

  • When is Seasick Steve coming to cape Town? Huge following down here.

  • @rbreadmaker well You could do it properly and wire the pickup to a jack, but I had a crappy old guitar lead I didn't need anymore, cut off it's head and wound the wire straight to the pickup. Strap it down with duckt tape and your sorted. Nothing refined about it, but that's the fun. If you want to make it easy to tune you could secure one end of the string with an actual machine head or some kinda screw.

  • @fearghal10 that's awesome man hahaha thank you i'll try

  • what a LEGEND

  • I built one after seeing him play it! Cost me £2

  • @fearghal10 how?? i mean yes a piece of wood, a string but what about the connections?? i wanna build one too :)

  • 22 stupid people

  • I want him as grand father ! :D

  • I shook hands with him and had his autograph :)

  • absolutely love steve and his novelty guitars. I've created a concrete guitar, please visit my channel to complete a sound test, comparing its clear tone to a wooden bodied electric. Thanks!

  • I laughed my ass off at the end when he said "yeah" and then dropped his guitar. This dude is awesome

  • Music there you are where have you been

  • I wonder if he uses "auto tune"?

  • @milkdud697 Built it! Buy a 10 bucks pickup, install it in an old wooden box and you will have your mississipi stompbox right away!

  • you better like this commenct if you noticed your foot tapping halfway the song

  • 1 string, a bottleneck and a fantastic voice; says more as 1000 words ;)

  • 22 people wanted to thumbs up while they were following the beat with their foot and eyes closed

  • @ownsilvr 23 mate, 23, and I managed to hit the like button, with the foot bouncing, eyes closed and the head nodding.....this guys is brilliant! Hopefully I didn't 'eff up my grammar to get flamed :-)

  • @ownsilvr 4 extra people thought they could do that and missed while trying to do your challenge

  • breathless. He shows that handmade music with soul is definately superior.

  • lets see some teen do this and get famous huh haha

  • amazing, just thinking something clever to say but this guy is even stronger than that, music needs more guys like him, we are tired of biebers, jonas, lovatos.

but sadly all those shitheads move more money than this guy, thats sad. guess that MTV wont put this guy on your TV

  • I so want one of these :D I'd fuck around with it all day instead of actually practicing guitar

  • @imonyourfacewoot you can make one in half an hour, go for it!

  • Delivererance Yeeha.

  • @JFCLFC95 este gajo veio ao optimus alive? ? se soubesse tinha ido!! ja me arrependi de nao ter ido...........

  • NIce one,,not come across this guy b4 my old friend mentioned him on fartbook...yeah like the guy...will be back for more..brilliant.

  • In a world in dire need of some blues, Seasick Steve is a breath of fresh air

  • LOL, the disapproval rating for this is 0.01%. If that doesn't put those 19 dislikes into perspective, I don't know what does.

  • @mendochoate 1%

  • @haggiss WOW we can see you put alot of thought n to comment ( SARCASM)

  • 19 idiots have no idea of real music

  • @macheteblack Yeah, he produced the Modest Mouse LP in 1996. The hobo period of his life was way before then, he says so. Shit, the guy's 70 years old, he's packed a lot into his life!

  • One guy, one string, one chair, one box. Perfect.

  • Someone saying 'your a retard' always makes me laugh.

  • AUTHETIC GENIUS!!!

  • the old stories about guys playing a wire off a broom handle was true. Sounds good as well.

  • seasick steve is the number 1 musician on the planet, real shit no gimmicks

  • FTW!!! This man owns all the shit in the world

  • One of the best ever

  • everyone calling it a guitar: ITS A DIDDLEY BO'!!

  • @fsriders didley bow* actually ;)

  • @lloydieb123 ' replaces one letter in a word hence why its used in don't the ' replaces the O in bo' it replaced the W smart alec >_>

  • Anybody else think this looks like James Hetfield in about 10 or 15 years?

  • he is so f*cking cool..

    With his home made guitar..

    Just LOVE it !!

Thanx for posting this song :)

  • @85Silvana85 diddley bo'* XD

  • if you like Blues Music check out Still City Sound

  • if you like Blues Music check out

    Still City Sound

  • When I first heard of Steve I thought that he was fake and a product of "MTV". Then I HEARD and SAW him play.

This Dudes music is so cool, because the music comes from the heart. As for the video it kinda suites his style, the man plays on homemade guitars

  • His album came out 27th day after my birthday, got lots a pressies but this album was the best one. He is going all the way, & done it from a shoe string.

  • this man, should be savior of american music from the wrath of evil beiber :D

  • havin a talent like seasick has is.....priceless.....

  • Screw spending over a grand for a fancy ass guitar all you need is a beard and a one stringed piece of wood

  • @kenny01622 totally agree with you there friend, wise words.:)

  • excellent sea sick, great to hear a real musician for a change...

  • A great entertainers, a true blues man!

  • I wish Steve would go on "Britains got Talent"...he'd blow all that dross away.

No backing, no pretty little spotlights, no backing singers, no bullshit.

Stevie..you are fantastic...just pure down to earth talent..I luv ya!

  • and he builds his instruments himself! Just reached the 1000000 sales-mark ... Bless you Steve!

  • thats awesome he should give leasons

  • This is real music with real emotion and real roots. Love it!!

  • I've just discover this guy ! I'm like children who listen for the first time great guitarist or great singer ! I've the same sensation that the first time I've listen Led Zepplin or Deep Purple. My computer is alwais play his song !!!

Thank you Thank you !!! I love !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • See this?

This guy is a prime example, that you can make music even with a home made instrument. It just takes talent and creativity.

  • can you make these, cause i want one hobo styley!

  • ur phones got good sound quality for recording :)

  • No dancers, no light show, no overhyped ultra advertised video, no sex scandal; just one fucking string and a voice. This guy has more talent on his beard than all your MTV shit fodder.

  • @versusvideo don't forget the Mississippi drum machine ;)

  • @versusvideo I couldn't agree more.

  • @versusvideo Still shit though.

  • @versusvideo let's not forget the Mississippi drum machine EPIC man

  • @versusvideo I can use six strings, you jelly??

  • @haggiss If you make each string sound like the one he is playing, sure, I am.

  • @versusvideo why would I bother doing that when I could just play it easily with a 6 string?

  • @haggiss Maybe because you like challenges? Maybe because it could be a punk-ish statement? Maybe because art is more about the journey than the results? But yeah... you're right: why bother doing something the hard way when we can do everything easily?. That leads to greatness, no doubt...

  • @versusvideo so playing a six string isn't a challenge? btw this isn't art its some twat whos gimmick is to play shit instruments that middle class british people enjoy because they think its so 'artsy'

  • @haggiss Going simple often makes you go further.

  • @Chukkz2 only if ur a retard

  • @haggiss Then a lot of great musicians must be retards.

  • @Chukkz2 not great musicians, but popular musicians yes

  • @haggiss Discussing about personal taste is pointless, so whatever.

  • @Chukkz2 I think the phrase yourlooking for is music is subjective but you would know that since your a retard that listens to simple music

  • @haggiss lol yeah, if you say it then it HAS to be true. Obviously.

  • @Chukkz2 its not about truth or lies, perspective or innate skill. its about you being a retard who listens to retard music

  • @haggiss Lol

  • @versusvideo Thank you for some realism.

  • @versusvideo Spot on. All that stuff some morons say (ie. the NME) about Steve being a gimmick is bullshit too. John Paul Jones out of Led Zeppelin wouldn't work with him if that was the case. This guy is more of a punk than any supposed 'punk' bands around now.
