@mrjzxv thanks for commenting. You may need to format your external memory card. However please make sure you back up any data on it as formatting the memory card will wipe anything stored.

@mrjzxv Ok no worries. We would recommend creating the main folders like Music, Videos and Pictures. The Viewty is set up to search and use those exact folders therefore any pictures, videos or music stored within those folders will be read by the handset in the relevant applications.

I'm getting really frustrated and thinking of returning the phone.

I want to transfer files from my PC to the phone but I don't have a memory card.

I already have my settings at 'Data Service' and have downloaded LG PC Suite and attached the USB to the computer. It does not recognize my phone (Failed to connect PC to the mobile) and I don't get what the problem is.

Hey. I was wondering, i have the lg ku990i (the one where a usb cable does not come with the phone), and i just bought a usb cable. I have put the phone in mass storage mode, and the computer does find my phone as a storage device.

The problem is that is SUPERslow, my pictures wont load, if i try to click on a picture/song etc, the mass storage just stops responding.

Try re-botting the phone; without switching it off take the battery out for a few mins and then switch it back on.

Go into the connectivity menu and ensure you have select Mass Storage mode before connecting the USB cable. Then connect the USB cable and try again.

You can but you either need to use the PC Sync software or you can use the phone itself and go into My Stuff and use the mark feature found within the Options menu. Once you've marked all the files you want to move just press Menu and select Move all Marked.

Firstly are you using Windows or Mac?

Check to ensure you have put the phone into mass storage mode before connecting any cables, etc.

If this still doesn't work try taking the battery out of the phone for a few seconds without switching the handset off and then put everything back together and re-try.

the problem is: i connected one TIME my phone to my pc (or laptop) and worked. not when i connect my phone it make a double sounds ( i am using Windows XP Sp3, all up to date). my windows sayd that the usb I want to connect was not passed the "windows logo" (or something like that). that double sonuds is like this: when you dissconnect your phone (or what you want) it make a sound (that announce you that you have dissconected something). at mine when i connect mt phone makes that sound TWICE!

Yes any music you transfer to the phone must be in the Sounds/MP3 folder, otherwise the phone will not recognise.

The Viewty supports the common music formats MP3/AAC/AAC+ - iTunes and WMA.

If you need to convert your music, you can use a free online converter called Media Convert at media-convert . com

I have a 2gd memory card inside, so I put it to 'Mass storage' and connected it to my PC with the usb.

Nothing appears on the PC, its like nothing has happened. It says that its connected on the Viewty but my PC does not know its there.

First make sure it is in Mass Storage mode before connecting any cables to the handset otherwise it will default back to PC Sync mode.

If you have already done this then, we reccomend sourcing the phone on your PC. Go to Start, Computer/My Computer then find the memory card usually Drive E or F depending on computer set up.

When you copied your music across to the memory card. Did you see the same folders as we have in the video. If not you need to format your memory card first. However ensure you have backed up all content on the memory card before formatting as this may wipe your memory card clean.

The handset comes with 100Mb internal memory and can be expanded up to 2GB using a microSD card. It doesn't come with any extra memory in the box although I'm sure many mobile phone stores will be offering some deals that come with one.

As regards the phone, I actually ended up going for a bit of a middle ground phone and got the MDA Touch Plus (aka the HTC Touch Dual). It's got the features of a Blackberry along with the wow-factor of the Viewty, so I'm more than happy with it. Highly recommended little Windows Mobile phone.

We always recommend memory cards it allow more storage space for pictures, music, video content, gaming. This handsets multimedia capabilities are truly brilliant as they will keep you entertained for a long time :)

Our advice does depend on the user - if you are using it as just a mobile phone then maybe not as you get 90Mb internally which should be ok for this type of user.

The Viewty is good for both. Although the music player is not as sophisticated as the Sony Ericsson Walkman range, for instance the handset lacks a graphic equalizer to assist with the enhancement of sound quality. However the handset still offers album art, categorizing your music folders via album, artist and more.

You can transfer music onto the phone without a memory card it just means that you have to load the PC Sync software onto your computer which is quite easy then copy and paste your music, etc that way on to the handset.
