  • Also my bro rides back there he said plague broke out there

  • Hanson city is my backyard

  • how do you get here , what road??

  • You guys would enjoy a book published in the 1970's called, "Abandoned New England". Lots of history, photos and old maps. It's actually a coffee table book but a very informative and useful one.

  • ...crypt yoooo oooooo

  • why is this called "hanton" city, just curious as its my name

  • @deamhan1309 I think it was the last name of one of the original founders.

  • Like the way you guys show the surrounds and include nature...you live in a beautiful part of the world also..adventures abound...thanks for posting.

  • @Theghostswithin We love nature.... just wish there was more of it in my area of West Warwick.

  • I must say that I have been enjoying the hell out of your videos! If you ever get bored in New England, feel free to head on down to my neck of the woods GEORGIA. DUN DUN DUN!! Lots of creepy places (and people) down here.

  • @TheEasyE23 Actually I would love to do places in the South..."Creepy Places of the South" has a nice ring, don't ya agree?

  • @NinjaCthulhu Absolutely!

  • At 5:05 I almost thumbed down this video. 'Britian'? How dare you. it is Britain. lol

  • I found out about this place online Really glad you made a video. On a side note; you're a little too preachy Reverend about your beliefs. You talk about big ugly buildings bei at places of historical significance, yet I'm sure you go shopping there!I'm a big history buff myself but I don't suscribe to the belief that we must save every piece of history, simply because it's historical. And the handful of citites under water in Sictuate reservoir.Yet you still drink RI water.Take a stand LOL

  • Been enjoying your videos. I'm from RI and totally agree with you. Such a shame they are tearing down every scrap of our past. New England is the oldest developed area in the states and they are plowing away all that art and history to make condos and shopping centers. Truly pathetic.

  • @OSueZQtheCatfreeek Yeah, building homes for people to live is pathetic. And building places where people go to buy food is truly pathetic. We should all just make teepees and live off the land. .....moron

  • @mbluemyst thank you for the strawman argument

  • @NinjaCthulhu you missed the point. I was responding to a message, not a post. No strawman arguement. LOL Just don't make it seem like saving that prescious rubble is so important.

  • @mbluemyst Yes because it's so necessary to have 3 drug stores at the same intersection or 2 mega grocery stores across the street from each other. Your a prime example of exactly what is wrong with this country.

  • @OSueZQtheCatfreeek Those are your numbers, not mine. You're a prime example of a fucking moron! Cheers!

  • hope the ghosts haunt the new homes ,for taking their town!mmmmhahahahahaha

  • i lived in smithfield for 28 years, i been there a few time,s,, , i belive there was indian,s there that lived next to hanton city, i read in the observer, a smithfield paper back in 1973 or 1975, there was a paper on hanton city an it had picture of indian settment of a big rock with a bowl coved out of the top,, an other thing,s about indian,s that lived there,,,i wonder if the indian killed them an moved on , an no one know ?

  • I'm from Smithfield Rhode Island and there are NO records of anyone who lived there. It only appears on a couple of maps around the turn of the century

  • I am listening with headphones and I swear I hear a growl at 2:50. Also at 6:42, as you were talking about it just being abandoned, I hear a whisper that sounds like "yes", as though "something" is agreeing with you. AND..starting at 7:22, I can hear clear talking. I don't know if it was your friend or someone else human but, I can't make out what is being said. One last thing I heard was a little laugh at 9:11. Nice, interesting video.

  • HMMMM thank you I will check it out and focus on those spots, you must have a more focused hearing than me, but thank you for pointing that out for me :)

  • i herd the ''yes'' aswell

  • @mermaidlorelei Laugh was him, The growl was a dirt bike, The talking was steve, and I heard nothing at 6:42

  • It'd be great if you put a mic on your nice friend.

  • Well it would help, but still havent gotten one.

  • Who knows, it does seem to be the basics for most American ghost stories

  • The road that takes you there is DeCotis Farm Road off of Douglas Pike (highway 7), which is a new road next to Lydia Ann Road (l don't think Lydia Ann road is marked and it's an unpaved road). DeCotis Farm Road is the first street to the right after Washington Highway (highway 116) when you are traveling northbound on Douglas Pike (highway 7). I use the trail to jog. After going on DeCotis Farm Road for about 1/4 mile you'll se the trail's entrance to the right.

  • dude you should fight to protect Rhode island's past

  • Might not be able to save Hanton City, but I have been in the process of cleaning and fixing some historical cemeteries.

  • Rhode island needs more people like you

  • one of the many things I miss about home...the woods, and I never knew about this is Smithfield....I grew up in West Barrington, near Bay Spring....have you heard any weird things about that area?

  • Barrington right? Well there is St. Andrew School that is said to be haunted by the old headmaster

  • where in smithfield, cuz i live in greenvile

  • It's just off Douglas Turnpike, right after 2 sets of lights when you get off of 295 at exit 8B.

  • awesome video! i need to check it out before the retards of today destroy it's value.

  • Richard!

  • I'm glad you guys went in the winter; it looks like much of it is overgrown in summer.

  • Actually me too, I read that if one enters this area in the summer, most of ruins will be covered in brush and other plant life making them very hard to see. Plus, I am sure more hunters enter the area too.

  • Southerners (like my grandmother) call ghosts 'hants'... great video.
