  • SubhaAllah! May Allah swt reward him. Loved his reasoning about how we have changed our definition of what's good!!!

  • We pray to Allah for one reason and one reason alone. He has commanded us. The rest are benefits attached to it.

  • Hello imam (may I call you that? lol),

I'm a Christian who is studying abroad in Turkey and interested in learning more about Islam..you said Allah does not give us any responsibility we can not bear or burden, which makes sense. :) I was just wondering why you believe God has given Muslims this responsibility to pray 5 times a day. Is it so that he is never far from their mind, so they don't forget about him as we often do?

  • @WingsTM i am no imam but i can give you the little bit i do know. Yes you are correct that is one reason why we pray 5 times, to remember Allah always, it also helps keep away from sin because you are not going to be like oh lets go look at some bad pictures on the net before prayer! u know what i mean, if you are always praying it keeps allah on ur mind and away from sin. Also i nice way i heard it put is that like food is to nourish the body we need prayer to nurish the soul, n 4 forgiveness
