Dan Folger passed away in 2006 and god rest his soul he was a good man.Great songwriter and singer also his friend Don Gant is just as great and under rated as Dan is.One is remembered as a songwriter and Gant as a producer for Acuff-Rose in Nashville and yet both men were also killer singers!! between the two of them they never released a bad record in the early 1960,s.

GEMM has this record listed way over $100.00 as a great Elvis soundalike! It's great, but he sounds like a combination of Roy Orbison, Gene Pitney, Ray Peterson and Billy Joe Royal to me! Joe

I knew Dan Folger when he lived in Tyler. I'm sorry to hear about his passing.

Yes, it surprised me also! Stange how Dan, Orbison & Don Gant all except Melson passed away. How old would he be, do you know?

He lived from 1943-2006. There is an entry for him at Wikipedia, and his sister has a site dedicated to him.

I knew him when he was staying at the Salvation Army in Tyler. He had a button he would wear, that said "FEARLESS LEADER'. We were talking about going to Corpus Christi together, but I ended up leaving without him.

I hope he is at peace now.
