He gets how important the Internet and YouTube in particular are becoming in advancing people's abilities to share ideas as they should in a democracy. This guy is a class act - I don't care HOW long he combs his hair, I care about how his mind and heart are in the right place on so many critical issues.

I'm guessing that you're referring to the article by that name at TruthOut. Edwards, in fact, doesn't seem to address the issue at all, speaking of programs to pay people the minimum wage in exchange for staying off drugs, seemingly obvious to the fact that in many cases somebody is unemployed because his job went away and there are far fewer jobs than applicants, not because of substance abuse. Liberals, on the whole, don't seem to get that any more than Conservatives do.

As for the author thinking that the citation of a single study proves anything, eliminating all need to look into how the study was done, I remain eternally amazed that anybody could believe that.

I'd be a lot less amazed if I were not in a position to know how few students are willing to sign up for Introductory Statistics courses when they don't have to do so.

This is just one article that points out that Edwards is the only candidate that is talking about the fact that we have a poverty problem in America. And, that he is the first major presidential candidate since Robert Kennedy to make fighting poverty the corner stone of his candidacy.

I was a volunteer for Clinton in both his runs for president, fighting poverty was never the focus of the campaign, never. Remember, "It's the economy stupid". Or is that too recent for you.

You Tube should extend an invitation to all the presidential candidates to post a video. One advantage I can come up with is it allows a viewer of you tube to set their own time and not one that is dictated by others as to when and where they'll appear or will be at any given location.
