@xXxEmbrac3xXx I was in mood for a long time for getting my self nice looking and perfect sound for quite some time and now that i have a new iMac core i5, i decided to look around and i bought these and the M-Audio studio and i have to say, the M-Audio are really loud!! they are really meant to be in a sound proof room, but when in low volume, they don't sound good, more like average sound, but when connecting the Bose speakers LOL! i was stunned! HIGH QUALITY ALL THE WAY no doubt. :)

I just got this ones the are really good, sound surrounds you without being offensive they are not the loudest but at the end of the day they are just computer speakers if you want club speakers go to the club or just get another ones this ones are pure quality and good sound considering the size powerfull bass...

yes and it doesn't matter anyway because the speakers sound amazing and put out a good amount of volume - very good for their size and the fact that they're computer speakers - bose have always sounded MUCH larger than they are - don't fall into the wattage trap

I just figured out that these speaker distort when played too loud because they have an internal security thing that protects the speakers from blowing, and that somehow effects the sound....

Ummm you ever consider no one can tell the quality after it goes through your cameras mic and out our speakers? It obviously sounds like crap coming out of my laptop speakers! You should review the product and its features! instead of playing a bunch of songs that give us absolutely no helpful information! 1/5 stars did not help me gather any information at all, what a terrible review.

most sound cards have an equalizer you can play around with to lower the bass if you want.... just gotta look around in the control panel

I did research on the Bose Products for 2 years, and I going to tell you about all the information about Bose Companion 2 series 2. Thanks for your question. Bose Companion 2 series 2 doesn't have bass module, but they do have bass ports at the back of the speakers. These ports provides deep low notes from small speakers. yep thats the bose signature sound. doesnt matter which system you buy they all sound pretty much the same. Both of my wave music systems saound the same as my soundock portable and my accoustimass 5 speaker system. Overall they have very good midrange and sound pretty good. Bose is good at making small speakers that sound much much larger than they really are.

well the T-40s sound the same as the T-20s from what i've heard in the store while plugging in my own iPod; they are also quite tall, the bose sound much nicer and are 40$ cheaper than the creative - you should go with the bose - better all around

no these are the speakers i returned because i wanted deeper bass, don't get me wrong these are great too, but deffinately not for blasting - same washed out effect happens as with the companion 3's at high volumes - I have set of sony stereo speakers with a 10" subwoofer for blasting stuff :D dual cone speakers with tweeters and the big sub

the actual sub woofer speaker is only about 5-6" but the whole acoustimass unit is ridiculously ported so it is louder and deeper than you would expect

No, I would not consider them to be portable. But I don't know exactly what you consider to be portable. If you want portable Bose, go for the MuiscMonitors. However they're extremely expensive. If you're looking for portable, just get some decent headphones, portable speakers always end up being more of a pain than a convenience.

What I consider to be portible is able to pick up and take with you and plug in somewhere else. The music moniters is just about $100.00 over my budget.

I have these speakers and I also love them. Although they are small, they definitely aren't portable. You can pack it up in a bag but you might find it cumbersome and clunky to carry two speakers, an adapter, and whatever connection wire you might need. I recommend the Altec Lansing IM600 if you want something portable. It sounds great, has a built-in battery that lasts for approximately five hours, an iPod dock, FM radio, and folds up into a neat little package.
