Impressive concept you got here, food Independence for life, Powerful and i do mean Powerful!
I do have a question though, i live in Indiana and right now it is 50 degrees (F) and getting colder as time progresses. How do we deal with the fish water when the season cant support plant growth?
Great yet modist inovator Milne is. (food&fish) shares his experiences which include worms to break down waste in his system. The worms put off in their worm tea what amounts to a plant growth hormone. Great Vid!.
Thank you very much for posting this! I've been trying to figure out how to make a larger wicking garden rather than the self watering rubbermaid tubs. I was thinking one of the large flat sweater boxes on the bottom, but vermiculite.... just genius!! Come on spring!!
@homewouldheart just google "fish hatchery Australia" There is an extensive list of hatcheries available in each state from trout to silver perch etc suitable for aquaponics. Fish prices start at around $1 and go up depending on numbers you intend to buy. Now is a good time to buy (December) in Australia as the fish are currently spawning.

Great Tips and great chatter. I learned quite a bit. I am getting things together to try this using my pond as the tank.
Thanks again.
