I also found it a bit draggy towards the end, you could try a more powerful approach at the end of the piece, I think.

I believe the composer is a man. The music is made for a film called "Castle of Sand." It's a grand scale human drama. Without a doubt, it's one of the best Japanese films ever made. You must see it, if you have not.
I like your previous version better - not because of the arrangement but because there's more emotions in the previous video. As you also know, this is a song of pain and redemption - so it's very heavy on enotions. And to do justice to the song would require "feelings" to be infused with the playing. With your skills in piano, it wouldn't be a problem for you :) I'm also working on this song, but an easier version, due to certain physical constraints ..
