hi, thanks i was really looking for this self enquiry guide. Can I ask you something? There are so many concepts and paths to enlightenment that sometimes i get confused, such as "live in the moment very intensly", "dont trust your 5 senses, ignorer them, they are illusions", "yoga, and kundalini is the path to enlightenment" and many more can you just tell me the basics or the bigger picture?
@bobmonk92 Well, if you want to keep it as simple as possible, just live by the sacred mantra AUM NO PROBLEM... If that doesnt work sometimes, there are thousands of worthy techniques and attitudes that will lead you back to that state of being.
@peterpandoer - sorry i dont think I got the message accros right; some artticles tell me observe you thoughts adn from your 5 senses- i do this sometimes and it helps me to observe and stop thinking. Another method says; you meditate - adn as you said as you come out the enlightenment is hard to keep. Another one says; be nothing, dont mix up with the NOW the future or the past. Another one says self inquiry, why so many for one end goal?
@bobmonk92 There are many roads to reach the same goal because we all travel from a different location. We all have different pasts, frustrations, fears, etc.. which we need to drop using different techniques. To get the details on that, listen to the series called The Union of all Yogas. Also there are different stages on the path, which require different techniques. Those are described by Ramana, as explained in Jnana Technique - Part 9/9 : Enlightenment. Ram Ram
@peterpandoer - thank yo, I've been in and out of self enquiry in the past 3 days and I can finally feel this "nothingess", just being, it's so calming, all my wories leave me, i spent a good two hours in the state everyday, do I just 'be' to deprive the upcoming thoghts or should I look into the thoughts (distracts me from 'being') which both ramana maharshi said, also he said yo have to deprive it so much so that its gone forever, with my western lifestyle I cant meditate for long.
