it's really helpful to have ingame sound on, as bad as the sound effects are. when jad uses a magic attack, he will look at his feet (but there is a bug that makes it to where he skips this animation) and also make a "magic attack" sound. when he uses his ranged attack, he will stomp his feet on the ground, and no sound effect will play for that round of attacking.
