Silly boy, it flies first to Shannon,Ireland. Where it clears customs and immigration. Refuels then land at JFK as a domestic flight. Quickly out of the airport into the waiting taxi.

Returning to London City the flight is direct, as it will have used up most fuel crossing the Atlantic.

Two flights a day and the JFK-City sector is VERY busy !

amazing how quicly it can take off of coursse io know that that one is a bit modified it only carries 32 passengers but we are talking here about jet

A pilot friend of mine loves flying this. He said "it's like flying a small GA twin with two MASSIVE engines. Huge amounts of (to paraphrase Clarkson) Powwwweerrr! It's border line ridiculous especially during engineering ferry flights (no passengers)

There were a group of protesters with a loud hailer, it was dragged around by a bicycle. An Irish chap in a suit was ranting and raving about Willie Walsh. Perhaps 'Slasher' Walsh had sacked him at one time. Notice the motor dinghy in the foreground? The Police were worried that protesters would swim to the runway. Then tried to climb up the edge. Which would have been difficult.
