Cat isn't actually stupid. I understand what Ariana tries to do with the character. She even said, Cat isn't supposed to come off as stupid. Think of Cat as more having bipolar and a personality disorder. More specifically, boarderline personality. She teeters on the edge of psychosis and nerosis (crazy and reality) alllllll the time. Hense her VERY split personalities. Its actually pretty amazing.
