Grace is SOOOOO much bigger than man's words. Grace is the free gift of forgiveness from God the Father to us, bought/paid by His son. NOTHING to do with bravery or strength. Those words take away the spiritual essence and replace it with human action.
God does not give us grace because Jesus was brave or strong. Easter is not about bravery or strength.
Um, their is one big problem with this video, by far and away most of those that are into the bunny are CHRISTIANS. and I am not including Catholics, who are a cult, so they can worship the Easter bunny all the want.
How was Jesus not brave and strong? He asked for 'this cup to be taken' from him yet was brave in his fear and strong in God... great video! Keep up the good work!
Cute and fun. I was even ready to forward it to my family. BUT you lost me when you said it was about a guy who was brave and strong. (like Hulk Hogan?) That's not grace!!
Untrue and misleading. Sets up all kinds of misconceptions about God's ultimate sacrifice.
I spend much of my teaching helping people shed refrigerator magnet theology like this so they can see the real Jesus.
Come on Justin - tell 'em who Jesus is and what he did. You have a gift - use it. More impact than a sermon.
@houseguy4 ya, that part was kinda off, but the rest was good. i wish that he mentioned about how we should all go more than just on easter. kinda just explained why they go on easter.
But isn't true strength and bravery, especially when you are the G-d of the Universe, becoming weak and lowly for life to death; and life from a little baby born in a filthy stable to an impoverished and fallen royal family (since Mary was descended from Nathan and Joseph from Solomon, both sons of David), to death on a cross as though you were one of the common criminals who you would've damned to Hell on any other basis?
@houseguy4 how is is misleading? jesus was brave enough to keep telling the truth(being god) and strong enough to suffer for us? how is that not grace?
@ZachariasClub It's a watered down Gospel. Grace is God's forgiveness of our sins by applying Jesus's blood to OUR sins, even tho we do not deserve it. "Brave" implies a chance something won't work. God's plan & Jesus' death were sure. No chance of failure.
Easter is not about being brave or strong. It's about our weakness (sin), and our brokenness to self. It's about God's gift, Jesus' blood, and our freedom from hell.
It's a shame churches shy away from the real truth for fear of offending.
@houseguy4 I think you misunderstand the implication used here. "Brave" may imply a chance of failure, but it also refers to overcoming fears that an individual has. Asking out a girl may be brave, but wether or not she says yes depends not upon my bravery. There's a full chance that his dying saved us, but he was tempted, so he COULD(though did not) have failed. Just as I could succumb to cowardice and not ask the girl out, jesus could have decided not to die.
Z CLub, It's the same old story - the Bible & Jesus' actual words/acts are not good enough. They don't "sell". Current trend is to "bump it up" , and "change the words to make it relevant"
Easter is about God's plan for our salvation, not bravery or strength. You can hear lotsa that talk at the Atheist Club or Cancer Support group. Church is about Christ shedding his blood and rising again for our sins.
Test: if this was all they heard, would they know the truth?
@thatjustinguy: so wonderful to see someone with a sense of humour. Your videos are a candle against cynicism & pessimism :3

What verse says Jesus was "brave and strong"?
Are these man's words or God's?
