Thanks for sticking up for X frame packs. If you have tried both, and hauled long trails with both, you'll always prefer the comfort of the X frame over the I frame I frame's only advantages: SLIGHTLY LIGHTER, SLIGHTLY better scrambling over-under blowdowns.

X-frames are BETTER at ORGANIZING gear & you walk FURTHER between rest breaks because of less shoulder muscle fatigue
