you've thought yer best, you've dreamed yer best, ye've looked yer best, noo listen tae the BEST EVER BAND THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!!! Da monochrome set, da monochrome set, da monochrome SE...eh...eh....T!!!
nicked this tape of my sister ..was about 7-8 years old... amazing timeless masterpiece ..managed to find album when i worked in second hand music shop... love it ...now 36 years young!
Remember playing this album over and over again....Bought on a whim and one of my favourites ever since. Couldn't fault it then Can't fault it now. Still Different.
I wonder why they didn't become massive popstars. Probably hopeless at playing the PR game. Thanks a lot for posting this. I don't think there's a bad track on both the first two albums but this and 'Goodbye Joe' are my favourites from SB.
This brings back such sweet memories of being at a friend's house, aged 17 and listening to this whole album at dawn, completely loving it's cleverness and innovativeness

i was at portsmouth university, they played, i was so pissed can't remember any of it.
del amitri as support.
i think the music press thought they were 'TOO clever', they should have had much more recognition. i can't remember that gig to this day.
