love da video,, I own german shorthair pointer my self , i got her from the pound she's about a year an half old , she hunts no problem an flush's birds , but she wont point r hold a point,. Is she 2 far gone 3 train , or can u give me any tips ,, She has come on a lot since i got her ,, because wen i first got she was a nightmare,, its just the pointing thats letting her down,,, any tips please ,, thanks ,,, ps its a shame some gave her up because she really is a good dog ,,

We just adopted our GSP, hes a yr and a half, do you think there is still an opportunity to train him for hunting. He is mine so i obviously think hes great, but he sure shows great signs. Very attentive, motivated, and has a solid point. I love him as a companion, but I want him to use his ability and love life by hunting. any help or advice would be great
At a year and a half plenty of time to keep working with your GSP. They have an incredible amount of natural instincts and talen. Where do you live? Any opportunity for live bird training. I think they make great pets as well if you have an opportunity to bring him in your house and be part of the family, much better off. Obediance trainig very important sor control in the field. That is always progressive, never ending and good for the dog.

is it normal for them to shake a little when pointing? Im new at this and my gsp can twitch or shake when he gets on point.

Yes, My boy Cabela rear quads tremble with excitement. Really important for staunch solid points though
