the damage done by Dark Matter is based on the number of Knots of Rust you've thrown. You can get it all the way up to 60,000 damage with enough patience.

knot of rusts are useful........... for throwing at elementals to piss them off.... thats about it

I was surprised by there being two digits for the floor number. it's a sign of what's to come.
You usually can tell if it's fake chest by checking if there's a red jewel like thing on it. But some other kinds are different.
