Obviously you missed the point. It says they are simulating an ACTUAL condition of a ACTUAL disaster. A fiber cable is not a disaster. With that they probably could have more easily drowned the thing and wouldn't have created carbon emissions. However, overall HP is one of the greenest tech companies out there.

13.71 seconds rocks! OpenVMS blew away (har) the other OS's failover time! And since OpenVMS is a "shared-everything" environment, half the users were probably already on the backup site and never noticed the hiccup in the first place!

i have never been happy with hp machines, They aren't very durable, well maybe their servers are, but not any desktop or laptop i have had
