Honestly, I was going to too but I decided against it. I wouldn't join any branch of the military at this point. Many different people have told me that they have friends that were never even paid for their services in the military. If you do decide to join, just make sure you pick up a trade, but then again if you pick a trade and they don't have room for you there, they stick you where they need people, which will most likely be a grunt.

It is up to citizens to make sure soldiers aren't put in harms way unnecessarily. But citizens have proven stupid. Half the people that rallied behind Bush when he talked about invading Iraq or Afghanistan didn't even bother to locate it on the map. Isn't that embarrassing at the least?
The way to thank a solider is for being willing to be sacrificed for citizen's stupidity..not for defending freedom.

Im an American soldier but if a foreign soldier were injured I would feel badly, they are after all a human being regardless of what race, religion or nationality. Just because they are Saudi-born does not mean they represent the Saudi people. On the other hand, Al'Qaeda was serving as a branch of the Taliban-run Afghanistan Government at the time of the Invasion and did represent their people.
I'm not saying the War was just in any way, I'm just saying that that Saudi Arabia wasn't to blame. Unless you think we should invade them just because Al'Qaeda members were born there.

US did not intended to "invade" anywhere but just wanted to retaliate. Also the loss of US vs Afgani peasants is much more. We lost our soldiers, international reputation, money and so many other things. This has nothing to do being in military or not. It is mostly liberals saving soldiers' life even though they do not make old fashioned Republican speeches on arenas. Only winner in Iraqi war was the US oil companies, Blackwater and republican supporters selling goods to army during the war.
