I wonder why people make adoption sound so horrible. If I was a teen parent, I would give up my kid up 2. My mother was a single mother and she raised me and my brother on her own. My mom struggled.

Adoption isn't wrong if u do it for the right reasons. I was young when i had my 2 kids and i couldn't give them a life so i gave them up for adoption is something birth mothers will struggle with it is always in the back of your mind but then u realize u did for the baby or babies so they had a start at life. Adoption is better then Abortion....
How does your adoptive mother feel when she hears you say that your birth mother is the 'love of your life'? It is really easy for a birth mother to step in years later and say how much they loved their child and how the really didn't want to place them for adoption.Why do they then?
I need some advice. Just yesterday my mother that left me at 3 because she chose drugs over me call... I was really mean i said some harsh thing and i dont know if i did the right thing. Please message me or reply. I guess i kind of want someone to talk to about this. Thanks

Strength to all adoptee's when you learn to relove your first parents and strength to all mums considering adoption. The trauma of loss is life long and never goes away, until the day you die. There is always someone to help, you just need to contact right right person and not believe the lie that two parents are better than you the first mum. I loved my daughter and still do.

I agree, But adoption has positives as well. My adopted mother was able to have a daughter that she would not have been able to have on her own. No family is perfect. I was loved, that is what matters.
@Hhhhhheather then maybe it wasn't meant to be. How do you know your birthmother wasn't coerced? Adoptees lack a lot of rights, some can't get passports, and many can't get important medical info.
@hasank86: If you were in this kind of situation maybe you'd understand. No one is perfect and people make mistakes at least they know whats best for their children and give them a chance of have a good life. Don't be so quick to judge because its not an easy decison to give a child away!
I'm 25 and I found out I was adopted when I was 18. My birth mom had about 8children incuding my brother and me.I dreem of her huging me and telling me how much she loves. I love her! I hope that one day I can meet her! BTW How long have you known your mom?
We have been back together since January of this year. I am the happiest I have ever been. She is the love of my life!
I hope that one day your mom will find you as well. Know that she loves and you and thinks about you everyday. You will always be in her heart. And when you do finally meet her... You will feel the love you have always been searching for!
I cried almost everyday, i would pack my little cabbage patch kid suitcase as a child and walk down the street saying i was going to look for my real mom. Now as an adult who has met my B. Mom and love her eternally, i realize i had my real mother all along. I do have a connection with my birth mother that i have never felt with another. It is now the biggest blessing to have 2 mothers who love me unconditionally!
@Hhhhhheather Sorry I made my earlier post before seeing the whole video. I think she would've done fine raising you on her own. Glad you got back together.
I watched these video about ten times and I get butterflyes in my stomag every time! When I'm reading the things that your mom wrote to you I can really fell the love and sweetnes that she fils for you!
I wish I could of got a letter from my birth mom. It would of been way easier to find mine.But I did!

I think it was all a bit too much for him to handle. He responded to a couple e mails, then nothing...
Maybe one day he will have a change of heart and I will be able to meet him.
