  • Aria guitars are wonderful

  • That's not a maple neck!!

    It looks more like mahogany.

  • @boddumblues

The grain does look a bit like mahogany, but the factory and the catalog say maple.

  • y r ur intros all the same!!

  • @kAlInDaDwArF

    Branding my friend, Branding.

  • ur retarted

  • where can i see those guitars hanging in the back?

  • @rockpwnsu

The guitars in the back are from my personal collection. If there is a specific model you're looking for I should be able to point you in the right direction to find it.

  • @brianway1 oh i thought some of them were for sale

  • I heard some "Symphony of Destruction" in there Jon!-

    Great review!

  • how much is this beauty?

  • @rockpwnsu

You need to google them or go to Aria Usa to get your pricing. Lots of PE models there.

  • Nice LP clone, pity for this quality Jap or Korean made guitar, the body SHOULD have been mahogany, not Alder! Alder is for FENDER styled guitars, not Gibson styled.

As to other Gibson styled guitars you have there Jon, WHAT guitar is that next to the light coloured SG jr, that looks like a LP double cut? Is it a Gibson or a clone model, cos I prefer these to the traditional single cut. A search of the Gibson website, reveals NONE like this any more.

    Cheers. Great review Jon.

  • @ace69er That sure looks like an Ibanez Artist 300.

  • @kerranz

Sorry. It's a Hondo II HDL770 in antique brown from 1981. For sale for $300 if you know a lefty.

  • @brianway1 I tried googling for that model, NO results!

    Strange!

  • @ace69er

Lots of PE guitars in the PE series to choose from, but you know us Lefties. We have to take what we can get most of the time.

  • @ace69er

The Alder on this actually puts out a nice change to the usual mahogany LP guitars. The one doublecut in the background is a Hondo II HDL770 from 1981. Thanks for watching.

  • @brianway1 Nice, is it a close Gibson knock off, with traditional woods etc? Cos Gibson dont make models like this any more.

  • @ace69er No tone wood is specifically "for" any style of guitars, really... I mean, fender uses mahogany on some of its special models for instance. I think it can help to think a bit "non-traditionally" with guitars these days, with so many clones on the market. I think that's what this guitar was aimed to do.... whether or not it's a creative success or a disaster, to each his own opinion I guess

  • @ace69er have we forgotten the fact that the japanese make amazing guitars? its indonesia, china and korea that make crap. and korea is getting a little better. american guitars are not much better than japanese. theyre using the same tools and putting the same time and quality into all the instruments. especially the ibanez fujijen factory. they do everything by hand (with the up-to-date tools of course) but no robots. same with america

  • @deathcore1239 I disagree. Korea make GREAT guitars! I have a MIK Strat, cant fault it. Only its pickups were sub par!

Ever seen a Greg Bennettt Samick? Or a Cort?

These cos manufacture for the BIG names like Fender and Gibson, making the Squiers and epiphones to high quality, its only the Chinese made that are the cheapest and most basic quality models, but are still reasonable.

Indonesia are ok too. Jap, again, you cant fault it.

I'd check my facts 1st b4 making sweeping claims like that.

  • @ace69er your right, i was a little harsh when i said korea and indonesia make crap. i still say china does however and im sticking with that opinion but im actually just a couple hundred bucks away from buying an ibanez rga8 (MIK) and an s420 (MII) and i like them both a ton! so i dont have too much bad to say about indonez and koreanez but i know my chinese jackson is the worse thing ive ever owned. and most real ibanez junkies know that chibanez ONLY makes cheap knock-offs.

  • @deathcore1239 Yes, china made arent the best its true, but they ARE getting better.

I've seen some good stuff out of china but most of it is pretty average.

Brands like SX and Xaviere (GFS) are probably some of the best brands made in China and are pretty decent instruments, even having 1/2 decent pickups installed in them.

    Cheers.

  • Great review. Your editing with the different views of the guitar improves with each video.

  • @kamaboko1

Thanks for noticing. Really appreciate it.
