  • @johnkef7

color me jealous. what a thrill it must have been!

  • saw them when they came to philly. craziest improved show i ever seen!

  • I really liked it.

  • @mikeandmike

Your voice is made of several notes, When you sing its possible peel the harmonics from each note into their corresponding sounds. Monks do this and some choir groups learn it. Its not common knowledge.

  • ... what i would do to sing with Bobby Mc!

  • Goddamn, what I would give to be lucky enough to sing with Bobby McFerrin...

  • @Minae2584 : Buy a ticket Einstein;-)

  • Your right, singing more than one note is much more difficult... maybe impossible

  • tibetan monks sing in a way that they produce choral overtones and actually sing more than one note.

  • If we are talking about overtones, then everyone sings more than one note. As every note is made up of overtones. But I would like to see the Tibetan monks sing, any links?

  • the overtones are brought out to make harmonies so that more than the fundamental tone is heard. Just youtube search Kongar and you'll see a great example of Tuvan throat-singing.

  • Search for "Mongolian throat singing"

  • search for Demetrio Stratos. . .flautofonie and other works. . .

  • i havent seen any tibetan monks do it, but try a search for "throat singing" here on youyube ;)

  • I do so too :) Check out "Throat singing" here on youtube!

  • @mikeandmike That's often called overtone singing or tuvan throat singing. Bobby did that in a concert in Montreal and a few other times.

  • She teaches at my school : )

  • thanks for uploading. I luv this♡

  • fucking great

  • is this from the Circlesongs period?

  • This is from UC Davis, right? That was SO good!

  • Check out Bobby at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. I learned with him a few summers back at the Institute. He teaches vocal improvisation in a 5-day masterclass workshop. It's awesome training. I highly recommend it.

  • i saw B McF & Voicestra in Bergen Norway in 2003. They were just wonderful! The audience were on cloud 9.

  • wish i could see a whole lot more - i saw them in berkeley and loved it. anybody have any more to share?
