I'm not sure where its from actually, but I do know its not a Star Wars song. All the Star Wars songs are composed by John Williams and this one is by Craig Armstrong

It wasn't LOTR but the 1996 movie "Romeo & Juliet" by Baz Luhrman (maybe you even know the movie, it's the one with Leonardo DiCaprio starring as Romeo)

still it sounds a lot like LOTR :)

This song and the clips you chose really conveyed the emotions in the movie really well! I also loved the simplicity, with the fades, and how everything was black and white... to me it seemed like he was remembering before he put the mask on. Is that what you meant? Awesome video anyway! 5 stars!
