This show makes me so happy. Because when we first got married me and my husband would always watch this. We have been happily married for 23 years. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have children so we decided to adopt and we have three beautiful girls who are all in high school and college. Watching this show on youtube brings back wonderful memories :)

I've always loved how they used about 7 adjectives describing the lousy cheap prizes they would give away on this show. 'You've won a brand new, beautiful, spectacular, phenomenal, amazing, astounding refrigerator!!!!!' The prizes were cheap, but this show's a classic and sorely missed. All I can tell you is about couple #2.......... cuz it's me and my wife. The baby she is pregnant with on the show was stillborn but we went on to have two other great kids and one grandson after that and are still very happilly married for 33 years. Husband #4 found this on You Tube a while back and emailed me. He said he had not seen it since it first aired on Dec. 5th, 1978.

Thanks for the kind words. If you can remember, a cheap VCR back then cost $1800.-$2000. We went to a video store and put down $11. for a blank VHS tape and gave it to one of the two people we knew back then who could record it. In other words, that is the only show I have although I know there must be many others posted out there.

Well I can tell you that couple #2, the ones who won are still married. Cuz it's us. Sadly, we lost the baby that's in mommy's tummy, but went on to have two kids, both married and we are about to become grandparents for the first time. Our daughter teaches fifth grade and our son is an LA County Sheriff's deputy.
