I watch this and just wonder how could Marvin father take his own son life? I know Marvin hit him but gee whiz he did not have to kill him! Marvin can not RIP.
@cryingeyes100 Marvin defended his mother from his father's drunken rages. There was a history of him being abusive to Marvin's mother and one time marvin stood up to him and got shot for it.
I love this song. Ironically, the video's peculiar. From some reason it looks like a Twilight Zone episode. Yes, that's a peculiar statement, but that's what I see.
after living 63 years i agree with sly821. the music was great back then! we had all the great soul singers and groups. he is greatly missed! thanx for posting!!!
Has anybody noticed that these same blonde dancers from Hullabaloo appear on other videos, too? They kinda have that robotic, Stepford Wives look, though. That aside, Marvin Gaye was The Man, wasn't he??!!!
ooooooooooooooow i woulda of loved to be a tv go go dancer in the 60's. such fun! whether it was ready steady go, hullabuloo, or ed sullivan i wouldnt of complained :')
Thanks for sharing. If the truth be known, my Mother firstly taught me about sharing when I wouldnt let my sister finger into the frosting bowl once the cake was finished.
Please send me the remix version. I too know of a remix version by Diamond Reo-

We could have done without the dancers. I am sure Marvin could hold his own on stage.

The dance routine was created by a 'poser'!
Really nothing there!!!!!!!

Like it or not given the lack of true R&B singers sometimes you have to find some kind of comparison.
