  • I haven't heard this song in years. The wife and I were on our way home. We were listening to a great station from the old town I use to live in northern Michigan. Had to turn this awesome tune up. Wished it got more air time then it does!!

  • Well made video and GREAT audio..

  • @Downoneburn ~ Thanks!!

  • Firstly, it's a great song...stood the test of time.

Secondly, Stewart ran with BOBBY Kennedy...toured with that rabble-rousing gang of thrill-seeking politicos.

Thirdly, Scott Glenn acted in Silverado...possibly the most earth shattering western, of all time zones.

Fourthly, all that really matters is that/if/how YOU enjoy listening to the song...as I do.

  • This is a very "cruel" video. =p

  • i understand this song is Stevie composition.

  • This video went viral on Asmara

  • I had the honor to know John slightly. He was kind and a true gentleman. It was almost a year before I could play his albums/CDs without weeping. When I saw him last he was obviously ill but still singing. He shook my hand after the show and asked if I was still singing...it had been three years since we spoke. Thanks John.

  • @curandero50 ~Thanks for sharing your memories.

  • pure gold

  • If you have never hear Stevie sing Silent Night, listen to it. I love listening to it even when its not Christmas. It is so beautiful.

  • I can see why Mr. Gallion (author of Twist of Fate) refered to his character Faite'r as a Stevie Nicks look-alike. She is a pretty lady.

  • those of us who know

  • great video......thanks

  • @1956safari ~ YW :) Glad you like!

  • @1956safari ~ YW :) Glad you like!

  • @1956safari ~ YW :) Glad you like!

  • @michaelswidow ~Thanks for liking the vids! Those clips are from Talk To Me. Awesome Rock A Little song and video! Its here on YouTube if you want to see it. Again Thanks :)

  • What video at approx 1:24 is that slip from. I know I've written you this before but thank you for your beautiful videos. They are truly pieces of art !! They are always my favs

  • (Wench098) your so off base... john Stewart vocal makes this song great and reason why stevie chose to do this with legendary folk singer john stewart . he owns it and stevie adds to a great song.

  • @13rwhunter ~ Love john Stewart just not as much as Stevie lol

  • Everything about song except the lead vocal sounds like Fleetwood Mac... the guitars, the keyboards, the bass, the drums and the backround vocals. Stewart should have gave this to them and let someone else sing it.

  • @JP5466 ~Good ear! Lindsey plays guitar on this song and he produced it AND he was the inspiration for the song too!

  • This is a great old song, I always loved it. You did such a GREAT job making a video to it. It goes perfectly "in time" with the song, not to mention the awesome pics. Your videos are always the best. If you aren't doing something like this professionally, you should be !!!

  • @michaelswidow ~Thank You!!

  • @michaelswidow a classic-----oh the memories of days past......

  • I knew it! I heard this on radio the other morning and I knew it was Stevie. Isn't lindsey laying down some guitar in the back too?

  • @weirdguy75 ~Not sure but I think he did produce the album? Gotta look into it further. Thanks for commenting :)

  • Great John Stewart tune with Nicks singin' backup ... Awesome! Man, they sure could make music back then.

  • @luvmyctd ~Pure Gold :) Thanks!!

  • such an awesome song , thank you ....

  • @abikerinpa ~ YW It sure is!

  • I responded to the person who said did we realize who this was....I may have responded to the wrong person....sorry. Still, I love this!! Thank you one and all!

  • Lovin Me some Stevie, There will only be 1 voice like hers and SHE IS THE BOMB STILL TIL THIS DAY!

  • Ah, the cocaine '70s...

  • Listen to this John Stewart composition, as performed by Stewart, Bob Shane, and Nick Reynolds......

  • This is Classic John Stewart.. I love it...feels good...

  • Does anyone not realize the male voice in this song is the amazing person who wrote over 5000 songs in his career and had them recorded by many famous bands - his music is legendary and it is disappointing to only see people looking at Stevie here - John Stewert was a personal friend of John F Kennedy, Scott Glenn and who knows how many people that shaped this country. He missed a live performance because he had a stroke that day and passed away a few days later. Listen to HIS music! Please ....

  • @serathan ~I agree and thank you very much! He does deserve more attention. I think everyone focuses on Stevie because my channel is almost all Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac so the people who suscribe and comment are fans of them as well. Thanks for your comment!!

  • @serathan

    THANK YOU for saying this!

It saddens me to no end how many folks here on Youtube seem to have no idea

of the utter brilliance of John, and only know this song because of Stevie's singing background vocals on it. They need to check out ALL of John's music;they won't be disappointed.

  • @serathan Thank you for the info. I would never have known that. I love this song. They both sound so great togeather.

  • @serathan

No, I did not realize it until I researched the song. Not many people know who the songwriters are. For instance, Al Anderson, a good friend of my husbands, has written tons of music for famous artists, as has Rodney Crowell........people hear the music, they don't see the writers. Can't blame them for not knowing. Love them for loving the music tho!

  • @serathan So true.....A brilliant and un-matched talent......

  • @serathan John Stewart was a great musician. Of this, I have no doubt. But how in the hell can it possibly matter that he may have been personally associated with JFK or Scott Glenn? And even though there may be others who would agree with you that JFK "shaped" our country (I would adamantly disagree), how in the hell did Scott Glenn have any effect on the United States? And since when does knowing someone of prominence make one important, influential, or better than anyone else?

  • @serathan Absolutely. I'll miss John and his wide contribution to music!!

  • Stevie Nicks tu voz es la mejor siempre que te escucho te reconosco y se quien eres

    felicidades eres la mejor

  • I KNEW I heard Stevie singing in the background! ^^

    (HUGE Stevie fangirl)

I just heard this song for the first time today. I like it. :)

  • Ever notice how people make a bigger deal about Stevie Nicks being the background?

  • @sahem62896

I wonder if anyone has a clue who the real personality is/was in this song...

  • Basically FleetwoodMac with John Stewart (?) singing lead. One of my all time favorite songs, but, I'd swear thats Johnny Cash singing, not, John Stewart. The chord stuctures look like Johnny Cash too?

  • I named my cat Stevie! lol

    Thanks for this!

  • I was named after stevie nicks... I'm a guy <_<...

  • wow!! what great pics and work u put into all of your stuff. It's great 2 know Stevie has fans like you willing 2 share..... Thanks Again.
