We had a courier - a real cowboy - do the same thing in Sydney. Left the shop with new rubber, after being told to take it easy for a week, twisted its' neck and flipped the bike at something like 40mph.
This wasn't a Goldwing, but a Suzuki 1100 GSX... Major ouch.....
Maybe some one should have told him to treat'em like slicks for the first 100 miles, must've been one of these new riders that have started ridin to save a little gas
Hey dude maybe you dont' know, new tires are are very slippery untill you break them in, you have to carefully lean the bike.
I just had the same experience last week, but no wrecks, I just lost the rear while making a fast turn.
Be thankful for not having this issue on a busy road!

I can't think of anything positive to say except you should have known better and you were going faster than 25 mph.

He took the corner at 25 with new tires. Maybe a "shoe" isn't proper safety gear if he doesn't keep the dirty side down.

No what it means is, NOB, new tires are slick until they get worn in. High sides aren't fun so take it easy for the first 200 miles.
