  • Hey dude maybe you dont' know, new tires are are very slippery untill you break them in, you have to carefully lean the bike.

I just had the same experience last week, but no wrecks, I just lost the rear while making a fast turn.

Be thankful for not having this issue on a busy road!

    Living and learning...

  • Hell-uv-a save there man! Even though you still went down you kept it together for quite the distance!

  • Are u new to driving not to much throttle in the turns da

  • at least it hasnt turned into a compete wreck so thats a good thing

  • I can't think of anything positive to say except you should have known better and you were going faster than 25 mph.

  • We had a courier - a real cowboy - do the same thing in Sydney. Left the shop with new rubber, after being told to take it easy for a week, twisted its' neck and flipped the bike at something like 40mph.

This wasn't a Goldwing, but a Suzuki 1100 GSX... Major ouch.....

Glad to see you're OK dude...

  • He took the corner at 25 with new tires. Maybe a "shoe" isn't proper safety gear if he doesn't keep the dirty side down.

  • Maybe some one should have told him to treat'em like slicks for the first 100 miles, must've been one of these new riders that have started ridin to save a little gas

  • No what it means is, NOB, new tires are slick until they get worn in. High sides aren't fun so take it easy for the first 200 miles.

  • Glad you're Ok man. Watch out for brand new tires. They don't stick well.
