it always sucked when my butt would call people or add contacts that arent real. clamshell is much better if you move a lot, but an open face phone like the rant would be great for business work. but a blackberry curve or palm pre would be much better to have.

I have had a katana II for 7 months, and I hate it. I barely use a cell phone and I hate it. My first phone was an LG PM125 and it was much better than this one. I'm odd of course, so I was disappointed that it did not have a memo pad. Now I must go drop it down the toilet or convince my dad to switch phones with me. Or get a new phone w/ my mom's account.

I recently decided to buy a Katana II to replace my current Sprint phone, because the Katana II has bluetooth support and a low radiation rating compared to other phones. The Katana II does everything I'd need. But I had to buy it online, as I can't find it in local stores anymore. I wish cell phone models would stay on the market longer.

I hate my katana 2 it broke on me the other day for no reason i agree with Jistga i thought it was cool the day i got it and the a week later the rumor came out and i have to wait like another year to upgrade to a better one... :(

i dont like my katana at all. i got the katana 2 and thought it was cool, but then the rumor came out a month later (shit). seriously, the katana just stinks, it has no camcorder. and its just a simple phone. and im a phone person, and my parents dont even know what its like when all my buddies have keyboard phones and i want a better one and all they say is, "whats wrong with the phone you have now?"

i was trying to break it accidentally so that i could get a new one so i brought mine to football practice and all it got was a scratch..... =( , then i got pissed and threw it at the wall and it cracked. =) but it still worked so my parents said no. =(

So, this year i got the Kantana two for Christmas. It was my very first phone. At first I LOVED IT. But now I EXTREMLEY hate it. I feel it looks really ugly. Also the buttons are really hard to text on since they are so flat. I dont recommend getting this phone if u are a high matenince girl.

The Katana series is my least favorite from Sprint. They are (or at least mine was) really mediocre compared to other, cheaper phones such as the Rumor.

You don't need to "hold the phone to your face" when you talk on it.

This phone is set up the same as the Razr, where the antenna is at the bottom. Obstructing it will cause calls to drop, and signal to decrease.

But honestly, if you're not retarded, this isn't a problem at all with the phone.

The katana 2 is the exact same as the katana 1 except for the way it looks. The katana DLX is not supposed to be just "another version of the katana", (sanyo is using their katana line just like motorola is using their razr line) but instead is actually the next phone in Sanyo's 8000 line replacing the 8400 (the dlx is also known as the sanyo 8500)
