  • lovely footballer, wish we had a few as good as him now.

  • A fantastic talent. The first time I saw him in the mid seventies in a cup tie at darlington playing for orient I thought boy this kids got talent,.....I wasn't wrong on this one, he just got better and better,....RIP

  • A very good player, part of footballing history thaks for uploaing

  • dont like the big classical music does not complement the footage

  • Jim, I doubt there has ever been an English player with the grace and ball control of Laurie. His career lacked longevity, but during his time at the Albion, and early on at Madrid he was magical.

  • how is he a legend?

  • Baggies legend!! Would love to see a statue of the three degress - Cunningham , regis and Batson at the hawthorns.

  • He was a "MAGICAL PLAYER"...

It was a great team, with a great players and a great caoch too...

EVEN THE STRIP was awesome too...

    HAPPY DAYS....

  • Laurie is one of tem players that would be equally as good now as back then. look at the game in those days. fitness was a very small part of the game, it was all about technique, passing and shooting. Laurie, not only had superior passing, but he had that eye for the pass. His crossing was the best, at full sprint he could easily get it to the back post unlike oter wingers who could only do daisy cutting crosses/cutback. And his agility... no explanation needed for that.

  • diamonds last for ever

  • I met him when playing and the end for the Real Madrid. He was very good player... and better person. Nice man.

  • RIP laurie.....a legend of our great club.....on a lighter note, i can tell im gettin old when my 16yo boy says "was he really that good?"..........yes son...he was...how much worth in todays currency?....god bless, thanks for the memories x

  • yep hope he is amused by what his team is doing at present. And we have a black winger ..not a LC but he's pretty good !

  • RIP

  • It's music poetica by Carl Orff. Featured in the film Badlands. The second one is also by him. Only know it from the Old Spice ad & the Albion coming out to it.

  • whats the track?

  • THANX FOR THE CLIP GREAT MEMORY'S OF A TRUE WEST BROM LEGEND. R.I.P LAURIE.
