  • @Aclarado I'm wondering if I should report you

  • So much respect to Pink Floyd. Timeless band. Late 60's and the 70's was very good times. In making of good music

  • I'm 54 now, straight as an arrow, a husband, father, professional, but put the headphones on with Cymbeline and I'm back in my truck parked up in the mountains in the 70's looking down at the lights of L.A. smoking a joint and totally spacing out. We were so lucky to have this band all these years. Amazing music.

  • @Randystillrocks You have my RESPECT. I'm 18 btw. Hate the crappy music of today would have killed to live in the 70s or 80s.

  • Please wake the 12

  • This is different.

  • COOL MUSIC PEACE RE EVOLUTIONS NOW TV INFOS CHRISTOHER CAPELLO , WELCOME ON YOUTUBE FB MYSPACE ZIRGLE

  • I just wish that Roger Waters and David Gilmour would get together and make another album .... no one else on earth can create music as beautiful as these people and it would be nice for the newer generations to be able to enjoy one more album before they all end up passing away like rick wright did RIP

  • I don't suppose this has anything to do with the Shakespeare play of (almost) the same name?

  • @16520516 It's spelled differently but I posed the same query in an earlier comment. Cymbeline is a quasi mythical, quasi historical figure (not unlike Socrates or Robin Hood in this respect) but I'd bet Pink Floyd's exposure to the name most likely came through Shakespeare.

Then again I'm American and really have no idea how familiar to Brits the figure Cymbeline is vis a vis Shakespeare's play (one of his more obscure).

I'm just talking out of my hat, really.

  • @polymath7 I don't Cymbeline is at all familiar to your average Brit. Only those who know Shakespeare, or study ancient British legends and know of Cunobelinus, on whose story the play is based. Like you, I would guess Pink Floyd's knowledge of the name comes from having read Shakespeare. I just wish more people did likewise.

  • Floyd each day keeps sanity away......

  • The Doors totally copied this song's intro for Riders on the Storm. They 're identical at first. Having said that, Cymbaline is another early sample of collective Floyd genius!

  • esta música solo cautiva a tus sentidos.....

  • And it's high time.........Cymbaline. And it's ....... high time...Cymbaline. Please, wake me. Butterflies are by my side,,,,,, the must have moved the picture plane.

  • This is my favorite tune ever. No song can top this for me. E tu tambien?

  • This is my favorite Floyd album next to Syds stuff. The early material is incomparable.

    .

  • @Augmantius I agree. This stuff is very underrated.

The early material when they were experimenting is great. Who needs The Wall.

  • fkin amazing

  • @DarthXasthur Honestly this album is way too underrated

  • @noburningbushes Obscured by Clouds in another phenomenal underrated floyd cd. More is defensibly one of my favorites.

  • @noburningbushes what year you say ?

  • Great version that they also recorded for the BBC, here

    watch?v=HKRL6TyRToE

  • Thank you Floyd for permittingme be a birth...

  • l'organo finale...di una bellezza indescrivibile, ti fa volare

  • how is this album called?i lvoe it

  • @onimusha514 Soundtrack from the Film 'More'

  • "changing size" or "changing sides"? I'm not sure which.

  • It is from a concept conert they performed in 68 -69 called "The Man and The Journey" with 2 sets.

  • intoxicating... sensual music... mimsy farmer was so beautiful in the movie...

  • It just hit me how fast the studioversion are compared to the live versions circulating. It use to be the other way around with bands, at least the ones I've played with.

  • oh roger waters, if only i could write half as good as you.

  • @eLdiAbLoCo "well" there's your problem.

  • Dreaming track-always inspires in me a deep longing...

  • whats cymbaline

  • @TheSlevaslava Nobody fucking knows. Ive always wanted to know

  • @happothevampire haha really.

  • @TheSlevaslava From what I read, Cymbeline, spelled with an "e" as opposed to an "a", is a play by Shakespeare. I haven't read or seen a rendition of the play, but if you pay notice the last line in the first stanza of the song, he says "Will the final couplet rhyme?" This may be a reference to Shakespeare since his sonnets always followed the rhyme scheme ABABCDCDEFEFGG, where only the last couplet contains a consecutive rhyme.

  • @snakemaster94 yeah maybe your right.

  • @snakemaster94 It could also be a reference to how the final couplet of the song doesn't rhyme. Cool, cool song, really takes on a proper life in live versions I think, though.

  • The story of how I have never heard the whole of this album is too sad to relate at all, needless to say I once heard songs from this at 17 and I am now 37 almost 38. Just sit down and put an album like this on, with a bit of J, has proven impossible. Instead its always been dicks gettin' on E, raving - maniac- Just never like they used to. Wow, so sad. Its great music, a lifestyle- not schizophrenia, nor the apocalypse.

  • c'est mon premier 33tours acheté et il reste dans mes préférés je suis fan depuis presque 40ans et je n'en demord pas pink floyd est et reste mon groupe préféré!

  • At the start of the song it almost sounded like the doors, for about 2 or 3 words in.

  • @bernardmmarx

Kinda sounds like End Of The Night.

  • @srbaran Yeah.

  • @bernardmmarx the beginning sounds like Echoes when it breaks down around 7th minute.

  • @lukat93 This also reminds me of echoes. The guitar strum at 2:24 also sounds alot like Welcome to the Machine.

  • This is as good as the hawkwind version ...

  • Great video. Guys, i made a cover of this song, from a Floyd fan to another, just complete the link ?v=dgcS-NQyDCo

  • One of the many unknown Floyd gems that never made it to the mainstreams ears.

  • @BassHeadsProduction: only years make it unknown by todays people. In the time when the film and the record were released, it was very successfull.

  • @BassHeadsProduction

yes; the best song of pink floyd!

  • @BassHeadsProduction *chuckle*

I wonder if that's because it's (presumably) named for one of Shakespeare's least known plays.

  • @BassHeadsProduction Their are many Pink Floyd gems for us listenening that didnt make it mainstream. : )

  • @BassHeadsProduction Got played on WDVE Pittsburgh, PA, back when they used to be a radio station, before they got taken over by the corporate fascists of queer channel.

  • great song for a magic mushroom trip @.@

  • love this song

  • Floyd is a drug

  • @Bassguy0103 a good drug that inhances the ability to hear true tallented sounds that oooze in ure ear

  • what's the dislike button doing here?????????? not allowed!!!!!

  • Best track on More, Waters definetely had the knack of writing catchy folk songs and Ricks organ is exploring landscapes we have yet to see in our world of creative mediocricy.

  • I love Floyd, the mid-years, but it's funny that there are so many hardcore early-years fans because most of it is easily forgettable or that of a experimenting, developing band. Good but not amazing like so many Floydiacs who merely want to clomp on to the unusual with ill-placed, mis-placed, sad, fermented glee. It's so sad, Floydiac, don't you see?

  • That's one catchy chorus. The rest of the song is a bit weak.

  • @cruzman3608 eat a dick

  • @juegas i second that motion.

  • A butterfly with broken wings is falling by your side, the ravens are all closing in there's no where you can hide, your manager and agent are both busy on the phone, selling coloured photographs to magazines back home. i love that

  • Sophie ...chanson dédiée à Antoine.............

  • géant le soun de cette musique !!!!!!!

  • good lord I love this song

  • @keepyourguns

    couldnt have said it better.

  • @keepyourguns Oh when the organ starts kicking in I'm taken to "high time", more ways than one...

Song is like a time machine.

  • como envidio a la gente que esta bajos los efectos de la droga ( llamese marihuana, lsd, etc) y que esta escuhando esta cancion...uuuuuffff un manjar de dioses!!!

  • j'adore !!!!

    <3

    souvenirs en pagaille........

  • MY TWO FAVOURITE THINGS....PINK FLOYD AND COMIC BOOKS!! THIS HAS BOTH!!! DR. STRANGE!!!! BY THE HOARY HOSTS OF HOGARTH!!!

  • More is an album that, I think, is half great and half average (with a couple bad tracks). "Cymbaline", "Green is the Colour", "Cirrus Minor", "Crying Song" and "The Nile Song" are all great, then you have instrumental filler like "Quicksilver" that kill the magic for me. But, still it is a great album for a soundtrack to some terrible French movie.

  • i actually heard this track first covered by hawkwind i think thier version is better but this is a very close call

  • You fuckin miserables pinks reminds me the black.Love song melacholy yeah

  • My parents named me after this song, I love it

  • The audio is so low on this video...

  • This was released in the height of the music renaissance (1966 - 1972) during a time where music was a much bigger part of peoples lives. You could grab a group of talented musicians in various bands today and have them attempt to cover this song by duplicating the notes, but the eerie spiritual undertones, mood and magic is beyond the reach of any band of the modern era. This along with many other Floyd masterpieces simply cannot be duplicated today...the portal is closed.

  • @1968theduck "The portal is closed". Well stated.

  • Why does the music stop 4.46 already?

  • it's high time...........

  • Comment ne pas aimer à la folie !!!!!!!

  • Pink Floyd, the last band who create real music

  • @lanimibus the best rock band ever

  • 4 people have no fucking clue as to what music is about

  • PF 65-72 a different band to the stadium gods of the mid-70's ... then got progressively darker till self destruct 79-83 ...

  • @rogoldomedonfors

Thats a perfect way of putting it, and if you really listen to what they put out in a time line you see the progression with the release of animals (tho I still love that album)

  • This brought me back EXACTLY far enough.

  • its always high time, for my cymbaline.

  • I love the live version as well .. but thats pink floyd for you, both versions are just amazing!!! BEST GROUP EVER!!!!!

  • I prefer Floyd before they got all angry and political. I like The Wall and Animals but this is way better.

  • @ProcolHarum1967 That's when their lyrics actually got meaningful. I like this, but I'm a bigger fan of the later Pink Floyd.

  • @Polterguist I've never really cared all that much for meaningfull lyrics.

  • @ProcolHarum1967 What about instruments? The Division Bell isn't so heavy in terms of Floyd's anger, but its instruments are unmatched in my opinion.

  • @Polterguist I've not actually hear very much of the Division Bell, any good?

  • @ProcolHarum1967 It's their best album in my opinion; it's so pleasing to the ears. Start by listening to the song Marooned. If you want to hear the other instrumental song, search Cluster One. All 11 songs on there are masterpieces in my opinon.
