Is anyone even listening to what he is saying, WE are all hybrid beings, ancient astronauts came here and saw a half developed primate, early man, they made us the smart beings we are today. LISTEN closely, the message is IN the music, not the music itself. .... :-D
My oldest brother gave me a compilation called Masters of Metal when I was a kid with this song on it and I was hooked. I finally got to see them in Austin about 14 or 15 years ago and then at the Woodlands in Houston not long after. GREAT shows! Especially after loving the music for so long! Awesome post! I had never heard the demo before.
@djames17101 Wrong. Plant had nothing to do with the assemblage of this band. They actually accomplished that on their own. It is true, however, that they cite LZ as one of their biggest influences.
What an awesome band! I remember running out and buying this LP when I first saw the video on Mtv. I wrote Randy Jackson a letter shortly afterward and he wrote me back, and when Zebra finally came to Miami, I actually got to meet him. WHAT a nice and down to earth guy. God Bless him and his band. They're still supreme to me. I hope they still tour, I'd love to see them live again! This is still one of my all time favorite songs.
We used to go see Zebra at the Soap Factory in Pallisades PK, NJ, which became a rock club after all that disco nonesense was dead and burried. They used to close the show with this song. It literally SHOOK the house. GREAT times!!!
I was in radio in the early to late 80s and I have alwasy said that Zebra was one of those bands that were underrated and just appeared at the wrong time. next to Pink FLoyd and Rush, I think that Zebra is the best band ever.
I listened to this in Marine Corp boot camp in 1982 thanks to my senior Drill Instructor.
Love it, love it.

This drummer is very proud of his single-foot, double-bass technique!

Very nicely done.. Hard to believe they held on to that for 5 years before a mainstream release given what a great song it is!

Two Bands that were great and never really received the real deal! Zebra and Triumph!

@bentpolski And both were power trios... like Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Robin Trower and early Pat Travers.

@bentpolski I agree, they are in my top 5 of all time.

They did some great improv on a presumably low budget.

a bit slower in tempo, kinda dragging for me in the beginning... other than that, wow, what a great demo!

I think I like the demo better!

This sounds almost like the official album version. The drums are lo-fi but the vocals sound amazing.
