Peter Diamandis is a visionary! He and his X-Prize foundation are to be commended for their efforts to bring about genuinely substantial changes in our world that benefit both humanity and the Earth. History will surely look back and view his philanthropic contributions with reverence and adoration.
100 MPG is not as impossible as you think, i'm already getting 74 MPG so i'm only 25 MPG away! High MPG cars have been availible and mass produced in europe for a few years now getting anything from 60 to 100 MPG.
I know a car review company that got 100 MPG in a french diesel hatchback when they were testing it! Fiat are launching a 2 cylinder petrol engine that does 100 MPG, available in 2010.
Read the rules you have to have two or four people in the car on the test they set up for you. So your going to have to work at it to get things working right. I am going to bring steam back too the game if all works out right getting the team together. The only one I am concerned about at the moment is the air car, but some or the electric cars do well also. Hope to see you two in the big race on race day :)

Political governments are destroying the earth, and the myth of global warming is a political tool.
