@14nr Just to set the record straight with kershaw he was arrested for trying to make contact with his children from his 17 year marriage. He wanted nothing to do with his estranged ex-wife once she placed a restraining order upon him. He was a victim of the U.K's, sometimes absurd, family justice system rather than a desperate former spouse who couldn't let go.
There is more to this, the interviewer then gets onto the Live Aid single and why they refused to take part, the Twins go on to say that they where asked and really keen to take part in the single but their management had already said no as they were busy elsewhere...
@kamelion7 I own both those album, I can't comment on Product as I never played it, but Set - yes that was the start of the Twins moving towards synths but also contained some great tracks such as Living in Europe. Great album that one.
Who's the dickhead interviewer? First question talking about the band's name coming from a 'french cartoon strip'. Idiot. Tintin's from Belgium. Is there anything worse than some dweeb getting paid to ask incorrect questions? Loser.
His name is Andy Kershaw, he got nicked a year or so ago for stalking his ex wife, so a bit of a strange one, but still, he's better than the NONCE that interviewed them for Entertainment USA included on the Into The Gap live video (if it comes out on DVD I hope they cut him out)
Tom and alannah here are Mapping the conception of the thompson twins direction.other later interviews are just constipated and Jipperish
and shipwreck reasons.the thompson twins are alive they are just hibernating.. if I were in control and managed the affairs of the thompson twins I would incorperate and intergrate the thompson twins sound and concepts and ideals from a band to their own making.
Some later he had a nervous breakdown , should have stayed teaching in Sheffield me thinks.

Arista must be such arrogant cunts - Forbidding the mention of their previous works because they had no involvement.
'Set' and 'A Product of..' are fucking brilliant albums, very different from the later three but just as good

I unearthed this recently on the end of an old tape. Unfortunately the tape runs out before the end of the interview.

Wonderful interview marked with typical British humour. It seems incomplete but thank-you very much for uploading this interview.
