Ya know...the way they use sidestep is kinda like OM is used today. They don't really seem to be using it defensively...more for positioning...especially on wake-up
I think this is a great game in its own right. It might be inferior to 2, 4 and 5 but I think its the best VF for newcomers cuz the AI is very easy, and the inputs are more forgiving. The stages were also very impressive, beating those of SC1.

Its not inferior. Its just different from the rest of the other series. Its emphasis is on terrrain and evasion rather than air juggles.

Chibita was the most legendary player in VF3 and this video shows how inhuman his skills were (with a low mid tier character). Incredible.
