  • o my gosh

  • I love those classic old houses, like the two at 0:25. I was in the obx for part of that Nor'Easter, it was sweet!

  • Awsome Vidio!

  • i was going to the outer banks with my family for thanks giving. we were going on highway 12 to cape hatteraes and we had to wait a long time with about i dont know how many people. we have pictures though

  • Matthew 7:26 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

i libe on the obx, hatteras has taken a bad beating over the last ten years it seems.also south nags head houses are going into the ocean because of the erosion.knne bourder comment below that was probley lynn schell you talked to at the obbc shop.he is a good christian brother

  • The more people build along side the ocean the more we will see this type of thing. I live in the mountains of North Carolina and the mountain slopes are being destroyed just the same by developers. Sad, sad, sad!

  • yeah... it was a pretty intense storm

that was my family... i hadnt arrived yet because

we couldnt get across the bridge

    the storm was crazy though

  • Wow! I am a howeowner in South Nags Head and based on the damage, I'd rate this storm with Hurricane Isabelle. Beach nourishment better happen quick. Tourism is in great danger for the Summer of '07. Great footage for all us absentee land owners in Suffolk, VA. Keep up the good work! Special thanks to the guy at OBBC Surf Shop for telling us about your video.

  • Constant Beach Nourishment is what's causing this to happen more and more. Instead of letting the islands shift, like what is natural for them, we are trying to force them to stay in one place. Nature will get it's way one way or another eventually.

I have lots of family in Frisco, and it's pretty much my second home. I'm only 25 and the beaches have changed so much just in my short life time.

  • Im in Manteo its a nice place because u can go to hatteras and still live close to water

  • Great video-My name is Frank my wife and daughter and I have lived in Salvo for 30 years this is but one of 15 times this has happened,so goes life in paradise.

  • Excellent video - what better testimony to how stupid some people are about building too close to the ocean.

  • Thanks for the all the comments and interest. I need to make one correction. The rescue squad is the Chicamacomico Banks Fire Department. Thanks to Debi for letting me know.

  • Ya, I live in Kill Devil Hills and we did't see any flooding nearly as extensive as down there. Glad I got to see some during video. They build that close to the water cuse they are rich and from up north. =]

  • very scary... Why do people build so close to the water?

  • As you can see these homes are older. They were originally built much farther back from the shore; however, the shore line receded from erosion. Still, as long as there is beach front property, it will be the premium real estate because there is nothing like a view of the ocean & horizon from your family room.

  • I will go put this on my site you have 479 hits I think I can change that.

  • I am over 4000 in one week. That seems pretty good. Thanks for your help. Donnyboy60

  • I am a devoted OBX fan, and I never imagined a Nor'Easter like this. Thanks for the fantastic footage.
