I was a freshman in 2008, weighed 140 pounds, now I'm a senior in 2012 and I weight 200 pounds. I gained 60 pounds in a few short years, yes, I admit I ate A LOT of food and did little exercise; I've been to the gym a few times. However, I'm taking aerobic kickboxing and weight-training this semester so I can burn off some calories and hopefully lose some weight. I want to get fit for graduation. :)

actually when I went to University I was a healthy 170 pounds at 5"11. After the first semester I lost about 10 pounds ( at 160) and it was mostly muscle I lost. You don't have the vast quantities of food like you do at home. I'd say you have to watch out for the Freshman -10.
