hey i like this version a lot. its better than mine=] please check out my recordame video on tenor its my best one so far, and I would love to have your opinion!
Do you think what I think? I will make a video of my chorus "of there will never be another". It will be cool! And you could criticize and compare. We could try to improve our chorus.
when i listen to jazz, i dont listen so much for the main melody because anybody even a beginner can play that relatively well. however, you are a phenomenal soloist which is what i love about this video.
I thank U for your incredible words, but I'm not a phenomeno. I love my sax, I love music, I love jazz and I love to be melodic (I try to do) in my solos...
I don't agree with what you said, "anybody even a beginner can play that relatively well" mainly because they can't. Sure they can play what's written, but that doesn't mean it's being played well. The melody has to have character. That's unfortunately a problem nowadays; a lot of people are caught up in the improvisation and forget the theme of the tune.
I really like the way,you express your feelings. Couse you have feelings - it's kind of rare on UTube...and rare anyways...I'm a pianist, but I did a try on this tune on guitar.Best wishes, and of course, welcome on our site...or for a jam,if you are around!Viktor
Yo, where's your time? You totally have to shed some bebop scaled with a metronome. That'll get your 8th's and 16th's in sync with the time, as well as give you some scale type lines. Listen to Cannonball Adderley and Charlie Parker!!! i'm not criticizing I'm just saying, thats what the pro's do...
chao, come va?i am japanese.and i play a little saxophone.first time i heard your sax playing and i felt your sound is great and so beautiful.i also have ottolink 7 mouthpiece of alto sax but i cannot blow well.you can play it so well and i surprised listening your playing.ottolink is difficult to controle. i think italiano has great abilities of music like you.
Nice

"Merci" to U.
I don't completely understand french, and I think that U would that I played less notes in the chorus.
That's improvisation; never the same.
Sometimes less or too much.
It depend from my heart and my soul (and the brain too).
btw, thank U one more time!!
peace & love

Ok, I agree...
You have so OLD thoughts to be only 17yo.
That's good!
My first teacher told me that "to be melodic, comprensible is the first quality".
Listen for BIRD I find melodic bebop, while I heard Ornette Coleman I change station!!
Well I try to be melodic, and I'm very happy when it succeed!!
Thank U for your words and for your video! Very goooood sound!!

I appreciate your comment.
Some delayed note is a choice, and some is mistakes, yes, at the research to bebop speed.
Thank U!

With OttoLink I have a great control of all the notes of the saxophone but less power.
I also used a Claude Lackey 4*4 very powerful but with some problems of "crescente" and "calante" very difficult to control it.
Now, after used it on the Tenor, I'm very happy to blow in a Ersnt Schreiber metal ring n.7 for alto...
Great control great power, hot sound... like metalmouthpiece but more control!!
Thank you ercialexander!

Thanx!
Could be melodic is a way that I love.
When U listen for a melodic improvisation, that U can follow, it's better that a confusion of notes, more faster, more higher...
I like my way to play too!!
:)

God Dam...Thats exactly what i was gonna say. You do play well... Nice pipes...
