If you're to call this chart bogus, then you are pretty much calling every single other Rock Band chart bogus as there are only 88 keys on a keyboard. But if you still want to be picky about your guitar shaped controller, pretend it's a Ztar or something.

It's based on the note count, but if the song is WAY too short, it's impossible to even get to a 4x multiplier. I do believe the band mode cutoffs are screwed up though, to the point it's hard to reach 5 stars without overdrive, if not impossible. It's more about coordination in that way.
