I have the same issue, but its not a black screen, there is no screen at all. I just see audio but there is no black screen...am I the only one with this issue?

it took me almost 3 hours to figure it out, but what i did was go to tools, clean up prerendered videos then delete all. and then i also went to tools then clean project media and it was working like a CHARM!! hope this works for you all

Okay...this didn't work, but what did was MUTING THE TEXT TRACK. I created a Save As version of my vid and then played around, and I muted each track to try to isolate the prob. For some reason, muting the text track worked for me. Hopefully this helps someone else.

Didn't work, neither downgrading itunes and quicktime worked for me and I already have the latest version of Sony vegas. Wasted 2 hours experimenting, if anyone could come across a solution, message me. That would be much appreciated, thanks.

I have vegas pro 8 and the best thing to do is look for quicktime 7.5.0 and install it that way it will work - well it has for me :)

The problem is apple and quicktime. I First installed vegas and quicktime and everything was okay. But when apple updated my quicktime every video gone black. The solution is to uninstall quicktime and then install quicktimealternative.
