I suggest non-upgraded Zerglings be called a Cloud (referring to flies and other small winged insects) and if they have the speed upgrade call them a Swarm (referring to a fast cloud of gnats). I think a group of Hydras should be called a Horde (referring to a pack of several savage creatures).
